yeah i am aware i didnt really capture the complex character and arc of NHS but i just had this song stuck in my head and felt like drawing my beloved 60times in a row so-

I am never gonna be one to say that nhs was completely justified in everything he did. I am, however, gonna say good for him.
Also this is simply incredible.
but he literally was? he killed just one person who killed nhs brother, other people like his son and wife, the dad of his nephew….what’s wrong with it? he actually did a good job for everyone else lol and save this world from one more crazy villain that’s it. nhs is a genius

Let’s not forgot he was one of the causes of his brother’s insanity in the first place, even if not deliberately.
He forced Xichen into doing sth he would never do unprompted.
There might be no wrong in wanting revenge but the morality of it s doubtful still. Huaisang did pretty much what Meng Yao was tryna do except he never stained his hands wth other’s blood
@@Rockefellaxo if someone killed my brother i would prob do the same thing. Plus are deserve it and i dint want blood on my hands. Just tears and suffering. Sure he is a manipulator i can say that that is not good at all but if i had the choice to kill him and be guilty or not kill him and instead use everyone else as my puppets so they seem like they are guilty and not me, it would be better. Would i rather kill someone or not and still have revenge? Plus he was killed by his very own sworn brother so thats the cherry ontop of suffering.

I'm not sure about the actual novel, but the way NMJ died in the manhwa (which I think is closer to the novel then the other adaptations) is different and NHS was not actually there when NMJ died, thus NMJ's death is 100% JGY's fault.
2. Also from the manhwa, NHS actually had another attempt at using his brother's raging corpse to get JGY killed but that didn't work and LXC was willing to forgive JGY. So NHS had to use LXC to complete his revenge.
In a world where revenge is acceptable, NHS could only scheme this way to get his revenge since he has zero fighting skills.
if you think about it nie huisang always avoid bad situations because everyone found him harmless but if you rewatch or reread the parts where nie huisang was in you can see how he managed to easily escape dangerous situations especially by faking fainting
When I was reading it felt like he was a woman from a Victorian romance novel with tuberculosis who fainted EVERY OTHER SECOND. And then at the end I was like ‘oh. OH’
This song not only fits perfectly with NHS, but the DETAILS. When it showed everyone close to him and the negative parts of it, WWX, NMJ, and the person on the far right (It's so weird that I can't identify them even though I KNOW who they are) have their eyes crossed out because they're all dead. NMJ has stitches around his neck signifying what happens to him after he dies. JC/JWM (Why don't we ever call him by his courtesy name?) has blood on his hands from causing WWX to die (Depending on which version you watch), and is crying because he's traumatised. LWJ is heartbroken. LXC is just "good friends" with JGY not seeing anything wrong despite JGY being covered in blood showing he KILLED ALL OF THEM. Truly beautiful. I'm gonna have this on a loop for long time.
And just- a u g h the tiny shows of the way NHS is manipulating JGY because he knows he killed his brother is AMAZING.

@@Cmarie3753 its a nie bros centric film about their backstory from before NMJ dies. the additional nie content is very tempting but it also seems very sad and like i said before i am very emotional over them and even now i still havent been brave enough to watch it hahh

Nie Huaisang is a great character because he truly is the "crouching moron, hidden badass" if you consider being a mastermind as badassery.
oh my GOD???? this is a masterpiece, i'm speechless??!?!! the way the lyrics match perfectly, the flashes to the puppet strings, the silhouettes, the animations, the expressions... the little smile at the end. absolute perfection, you depicted NHS and his arc so well!! i will be watching this again!!
this is amazing I love how you captured the facade of NHS acting like he knows nothing, when he was actually planning and was cunning the whole time. perfect song choice and i love the details especially how you would flip the image from NHS acting weak to him being the puppeteer.
The entire lines of the "Im like Yes and No, Wait I dont Know" sounds soo much as Nie Huisang famous catchphrase.... Did anyone notice tat it even shows tat Nie Huisang always has a fan like obsessed ovr it well, fun fact a fan symbolizes the mystery thoughts of a person... the poker face... Im like there sitting watching Nie huisang and like the camera focusing alot on his fan when he open it, then he has a smirk or something and im like U hav my respect dont hurt me...

The way NHS let Lan Xichen live, but gave him the burden of being thr one to kill his friend. Thats his burden to bear for not defending his other friend

This is STUNNING. You managed to do a through analysis of Huaisang in just over a minute and a half. There is just so much visual language in every single frame - especially the one showing the state of the characters just before WWX’s resurrection (NMJ decapitated, WWX and JSZ dead, LWJ in despair, JC with blood on his hands from killing demonic cultivators, JGY covered in the blood of EVERYONE). This is one of the most brilliant MDZS animatics ever - I wish MXTX herself could see it.

@@summersunsets9556 Technically, Wei Wuxian lost control and caused Wen Ning to kill him -- Wen Ning himself wasn't in control and it was Wei Wuxian who unfortunately couldn't keep control over the resentful energy. I love WWX, but WN wasn't the one who lost control, he was just the weapon. :( Which is what makes it so devastating when Wen Ning wants to turn himself in anyway and Wei Wuxian begs him not to because it wasn't his fault.

GDI after consuming quite alot of mdzs content, I think this is my favorite so far. I really like HuaiSang's character and this is perfection. I already watched this like more than 3 times in 4 hours and I'll be watching it again and again.
I love how you portray HuaiSang, hardening his resolve and putting on a show to get his revenge after the people around him start to fall.
He never wanted to play the game, but since he is forced into it, might as well win.

I agree that Nie Huaisang is amazing and definitely not an innocent, but i really disagree with people, who say that he's heartless. Yes, it was cruel, but imagine living with a murderer. Letting him comfort you and daring to manipulate him when any slip up can end with your death or others'. Just how good of an actor Nhs is. Imagine the fear and disgust by having a killer hug you and sweetly smile at you as if nothing happen. I don't think Nhs never had nightmares about it all, being paranoid, afraid of a sudden poisoning or dagger into his heart because he made a mistake somewhere. After 13 years of constant fear for your life, for the life of people you care about, all of it starts to dull. You get so used to this constant stress and just want it to end. Always tired, always cautious. It's been 13 years!!! And everyday was spent with possible death looming over you. And everyone believed Guangyao, his fake facade. Nhs put most of his life into revenge, hell, it became his life purpose. Imagine how empty he felt after all of it. He distanced himself from others in those years, so they wouldn't be endangered if something went wrong, he was alone in this mess. He doesn't have any purpose to continue living, his purpose - avenge his brother - was already fulfilled. Now, he's alone, without guidance and support, caged in those same halls of his residence to, till the end of his life, be stuck with sect's responsibilities and untrust of others. Nhs is smart, he definitely knew what fate would await for him and he was ready to be stuck living like this. His life is tragic like this. Despite killing Guangyao being for good, because, just think of how many could have died cause JGY might have deemed them dangerous, the sudden revelation threw everyone off. Nhs wouldn't be able to regain this trust, because of how smart he is. Everyone found out that he has been lying all of these years, comparing him to JGY because both weren't suspected in anything. After finding out the truth about JGY, who's to say Nhs isn't the same? I feel awful thinking about such life like Nhs'.
I didn't know I needed this, but now I don't know how lived without this nhs animatic until now

NM died near Guangyao so his blood is splattered on him, but his hands are behind his back (unlike jiang cheng's) so we don't know there even was a culprit. His vermillon mark is red because of the blood he shed to get there.
Also, i realized the reason Lan Xichen's little oblivious flower is also in blood red is because it can be said his ignorance and kindness cost lives.
