- I can't handle fair rides anymore (I will puke), but I definitely like checking them out. There were more towards the back, but I was mostly there to see all of the cute animals and then get some stupidly expensive food.
I know I shouldn't buy it, but the fair only comes once a year and I don't plan on going up there again. I just needed to go there at least once, even if it's a short visit. It's been a long weekend and I'm tired.
Mom and I ended up liking the food, I just don't like the price. I knew what I was getting myself into though and we had perfect weather that night. I shouldn't really complain, it was a great evening out!
Wow, thank you so much for sharing. I am trying not to eat any fast food or highly processed food in general but I simply can not pass up a fairground corndog. Nothing fills my heart with joy as much as a battered deep fried hotdog on a stick. Holy hell! 52 bucks? That's nuts. That was really fun to watch. Wonderful animals, food, rides and young love captured on 4k! :)
I had a really great night out. Yeah, I know the food is bad for me and I paid too much, but I only do it once a year. I don't mind the rare splurge. I'm actually going to end up getting 2 meals out of the gyro though because it's so big.
Those kids were pretty funny, it made my night even more entertaining! The fair goes from Thurs-Mon and I always try to go at least once, unfortunately I'm too tired to go again tonight.

You should hit up our fair someday if you get the chance. It's every year during Labor Day weekend.

What a fun day at the fair! Was it within walking distance from your home? I like the name! KITtitas fair! All the critters were beautiful! From the birds to the horses…just gorgeous! And yes. Fair food is great but the prices are always ridiculous. Still…your meal looked great. Kind of interests think that many people at the fair may be wearing clothing that you tended to! 😊 I actually had a yummy gyro (pronounced Year-oh) yesterday from a local food place. Expensive there too! $16.00 each! 😳
The fair is actually pretty far from my home and it's up hill both ways, seriously, there's a giant hill between my house and the fairgrounds. Thanks, I don't really eat out a lot, so I didn't really know how the food was pronounced. I'm just glad that mom liked her food.
I actually didn't notice people's clothing, but considering that we are a college town full of artists, I'm not surprised. I did notice the sudden increase in people wearing cowboy hats though! lol
It was really fun getting to see all of the animals. I really wish I could have gone in the dog barn, but it seems they closed it early. If I had arrived at 8, I might have been able to catch it, but I didn't know they open the gates that early on Friday. I know you don't like rodeos, but you'd definitely like the fair! That's the only part I go to and it's great to walk around in.
There's also the really cool Western Village full of old-timey houses and wares you can check out. That closes to the public early too, but I like going to the little shop and buying old fashioned candy when I can. I'd have to be there in the afternoon though and I don't really want to pay to get in. Besides, I'm tired!
