No sir. Powder River Basin coal is dirt cheap but compared to eastern coal, that's more or less what it is. Not low quality coal but more like high quality dirt. Very abrasive in it's combustion products, the moisture content messed up the pulverizer cooling and after prolonged usage, catastrophic pulverizer failures. Also slagging problems in the convection tubes (primary and secondary superheaters, economizers and air heaters. Also problems in the electrostatic precipitators.

@@oldad6207 The coal in my area (Kentucky) is arguably the best coal anywhere. Very high btu, low ash, medium sulfur
