That was a nice collection...Halo Jones inspired me the most, so I will try to find some extra information..also Tardi and the theme of war are dear to me as I have been studying for a long time who causes them...if I may suggest you some names to investigate, I will suggest you The WWI Conspiracy by James Corbett, The Globalization of War by Michel Chossudowsky and Cathy O' Brien Trans Formation of America.

They just republished “Hombre” again in Spanish. This is my time to read it! Also, they just put out again those Muñoz/Sampayo stories in a new handsome hardcover. There goes my “aguinaldo” (Christmas bonus). Again. Thanks for sharing!

Whoa….HOMBRE! Looks good! Amazing list as usual, House of Penance made my list the year it came out as well, such a great artist

Never heard of Hombre but i’m interested now🧐Post-apocalyptic is a fetish for me. Thanks for the heads up🤘🏻
I only got into Tardi quite recently and it was through those two albums. After reading them I knew I’m going to hoard more. Very intense content.
I use to buy Heavy Metal in 90’s and still have them but regret skipping so many. Well, maybe regret is not the right word as I just didn’t have the money😅They were important part of keeping me reading comics. Felt like a breath of fresh air back then.

a "breath of fresh air", yes... and it was a big achievement for my German youtubefriend Reverend and me to have Raymond Martin, the original publisher of Schwermetall on our show on "Örls Waschmaschine".

@@earlgrey862 Wow, I may have to drink 6 pints of German beer and then watch that episode. My German(and dancing) gets better the more I drink😎
As a side note I bought couple new Heavy Metal few years ago just to see what state it is in. I didn’t like the content. Also there was serialized stories that would require to buy the next volumes too. At the same time people were demanding pre-paid volumes on their Facebook. Later they went bust and I heard about artists being unpaid. Quite a sad ending but at least for me 90’s was like a treasure chest.

I tried out two or three of the new Heavy Metal as well (the German Schwermetall is gone for good since 1999 anyways). But the new HM didn't do it for me: the comics were chopped into too short pieces & didn't feel so "new" as the comics back in the day that turned my world around. Nevertheless: if there would be a decent enough effort to restart the German Schwermetall I would give it a try for sure :)

and as to our interview with Raymond Martin: it's a bit of a shame that I could not make this available in English, because that guy was such an idiosyncratic (

I used to collect Heavy Metal magazine/comics as a kid back in the late 90s early 2000s. Those Schwer Metall comics/magazines are beautiful. Would be awesome if you could perhaps make a video showing your entire collection of Schwer Metall, so I can pick & choose which I would like to search for; I can't find images of all the covers online. Found 2 that I really love, I don't want to collect the entire collection, just a few with covers that inspire me as an artist. Great video.

I‘ll definitely will show the Schwermetall-collection in the near future… but honestly I doubt that I can show all covers, would be a bit boring for most of the viewers. And there‘s a certain disconnect between the covers and the comics…. at least half of the covers use art by fantasy artists like Boris Vallejo and the like who never have done any comic.

I've tried getting into Hombre a few times now, but it's just not for me. Also, that TinTin collection, does it have the album that shall not be mentioned? ( why do I feel like I've asked this question before from you?)
And finally, congrats on completing your Schwermetall collection. That is truly an achievement.
