The Last Mermaid sounded interesting so I took a flyer and added issues 1 & 2 to my pre-orders last month, haven't got it yet, but excited to check it out.
I meet got to Derek Kirk Kim and chatted with him a little at fan expo in New Orleans.He told me a little about The Last Mermaid, and we was an awesome guy I’m glad to see his book make pick of the week.I can’t wait to read it !
Adam F Goldberg is the creator of The Goldbergs sitcom show and Brian Volksweis is the creator of the shows The Toys That Made Us & The Movies That Made Us on Netflix. Not sure what their connection to Paul Reiser is, but I know Brian used to be a stand-up comedian, as was Paul Reiser of course, so maybe that's how they all worked on it together. Maybe they did a "writing room" format like they do for TV shows.
Completely agree on Cormack's art on Devil. I've been thinking exactly the same thing all along. Fantastic work from Alex, and some mostly captivating storytelling.
Robbie… Ultimate Spider-Man and Black Panther were good. Ultimate X-Men #1 was just ok as a stand alone but not as a X-Men ongoing title. Spider-Man & Black Panther get outstanding concepts but we (X-Men Fans) get a Aokigahara Manga story. This only tell a predictable story. I collect everything X related always have but I will give this until issue three to see where it goes.
Being an Ultimate X-Men fan.......and VERY selective on which manga I read.....I was seriously disappointed, dissatisfied and underwhelmed. Definitely will be avoiding like the plague 😔...
Ramos on any book is enough to make me not even pick it up.. I don’t get the hype for him much like Momoko.. I don’t get it. Just not my thing. But beyond that I didn’t really see anything worth purchasing

Spider-Man, great art and Humberto Ramos do not belong into same sentence 😂
