I can hear a sort of click every time I try to bring the top back up but it won't go. Is that a low on fluid issue or is it something else?
I have no experience in mechanics AT ALL. None whatsoever. I watched this video (and a few more) and I was able to do this in my Mustang. I got a quote over the phone and it was $299 to do this. Replacement is $999 with parts and labor. I saved a lot of money by doing this. TRY IT, IT IS NOT HARD!!! I did buy a tool kit from autozone for $49.99.
What is the name of the part from AUTOZONE
I have one in a 1958 Pontiac. The motor sounds like it is trying to function up and down but it will not move the top. It was working a few months ago but now it is not. The motor looks exactly like the one in your video. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What is the right way to put the top down and back up?
On my convertible, when trying to put the top down, it starts up normally (unlatches from the windshield) then it just stops! Will not continue to its next step. It will not go down all the way. What would cause it to stop like that? Thank you in advance.

So you need to have the emergency brake on to power your top back and forth?

Gerardo Legaspi Preciate you Mannn. Did you have this problem before where the top goes down fine but won’t go back up unless you pull it up???? Trying to solve that mess
T Spight mine was doing the same. It wouldn’t come back up unless I’ll give it a pull. It got to a point where it wouldn’t move at all if I didn’t help it. I looked at videos and this fixed it like magic.
I have a switch that works intermittently to bring the top back up. Sometimes if I push down and to the left it works but not anymore. How do I fix it

my 2008 Sebring touring convertible goes up and down but does not complete and the convertible motor keeps on going. It doesn't complete it keeps on running and just stops. when i turn the car back on it says " convertible top in operation" even when I turn the car off and because of that it doesn't let me turn on my rear defroster or use the button truck, I have to use my keys for that. is it an electric/ wiring problem?

Its number 18 mm socket you need to remove back seat. Note ear plug will plug that hole.

Perdón por la intromición soy tapicero hace poco me llegó un trabajo de adaptar una capota a un Sebring jx el sistema idraulico dañado algunas piezas rotas en las extencibles del herraje y se tuvo que dejar manual mientras el cliente consigue todo el sistema idraulico .
I have a 2008 Sebring Convertible Limited. The top doesn’t go down all it does when I push the switch is click. Someone told me if the driver side rear window doesn’t go down top won’t either. Is this true and can you help me or get me going in the right direction. Thanks in advance

you're saying everything is very simple super easy look at the relay put a connector on this and a clamp on that and it all sounds like Chinese to me I have no idea what I'm looking at I don't understand at all LOL I wish I did really cuz you said so simple don't piss somebody hundreds of dollars to do that when you could do it yourself and 30 seconds but I have no idea what you're doing or what to do I'm so confused I wish that I could understand

Hi Anonymous98, to be honest, I have never tried to do that but if you do decide to go that route, please let me know how it goes for you. If you are having a hard time finding one, try looking on car-parts.com. You can put in your zip code and it will show you all of the locations within a specific parameter from you that might have it available.

I found a local mechanic and he replaced the motor did he found on the eBay and it’s working fine. The motor cost $150 in labor was $100.

My top will open about 3 feet then stop help
I could be low on fluid or the motor could be going bad easy fix either way doesn't take much longer to do one of the other and you can pick those little Motors up for a hundred bucks I have a complete video on how to install it if you need it
