25 years ago, while incarcerated, I took a class called cognitive intervention ( basically it was cognitive behavioral therapy) and it was the greatest thing that could have happened to me. I've been out for 20 years and I can definitely thank that class for the fact that I have not gone back.

I don`t know how many hours of conversations with John I`ve heard, or his own programs. This conversation was the most profound and beautiful and I wanna thank you both for it. And I hope for more. John is a Philosophy by himself. This was so touching and moving. Somehow transcendent. To say "thank you" is not enough.

1/3 in and it just seems like basic common sense here - ie “man’s search for meaning” …
56:00 calling qanon pernicious & earlier referring to a supposed rise is nasi’s seems telling of his political alignment, too,
👆ie “professor” = elitist , & doesn’t dare venture into the fray of calling out the invisible hand that feeds him

John Vervaeke is this close 🤏🏼 from becoming the Jazz musician of meaning. In his early appearances I personally found him a little to rigid and technical.
He must have had found some „answers“ to his own meaning crisis in the last couple of years. He’s got a whole new vibe to him.
I thank both of you for this great conversation.

When it comes to problem solving and adaptive response, or insight relevance, realization; we can passively wait for an insight through ask, wait and listen. In my experience,we tend to feel uncomfortable in the silence of passively waiting for the insight to be realized. What am I missing in this situation? What is the best possible action I can take in this situation for the best of all concerned? One of my biggest challenges has been to use insight, being aware of what is going on in another rather than being so totally ingrossed in my own world. Un consiously aware of what what is going on with the other through active listening, being connected, holding space for the other while being in one's own integrity. Thank you for all your knowledge. This really applies to me living my most beautiful life

André, you got amazing guests and your deep questions give each interview a very special touch. I love a lot of the points mentioned and I will reflect them more deeply. I love the rapid fire closing answers. Like we're in a Chiros and this is where the systems are most unstable but at this point individual actions can make most difference. And I also deeply appreciate the comment where dialogos develop a live of themselves. I tried this locally with a journalist and 2 professors. But it seems to be difficult if not both people are really wanting to open up to the other side. I dived a little deeper into Spiral Dynamics which I love. This model to me describes why conversations with some people do not bring this level of deepness and creating anything new. Thank you!!!

I feel there is an overlooked point regarding solitary confinement-
Solitary confinement as a punishment also has perspective. Whether it’s confinement by force, or confinement by choice isn’t necessarily the mechanism that is determinative. It’s what a person does with confinement that matters. It’s like anything else in the world, it’s how we respond that matters.
Confinement can be the most beautiful eye opening experience for unveiling truth, spirit, knowing thy self thee is. Think of a monk or a Buddha like figure living life in the quiet of being without even thought, possessions, outside world influence. They find enlightenment through being “alone”. The funny twist is that it’s an illusion of being alone. If Buddha is perceived to be alone but in reality is connected to everything and the highest levels of spirit and love is Buddha really alone?
On the flip side, if a person has all the things of the world in a massive abundance and perceived to “have it all” are they alone?
Why is it that the people that have all the money and things seem to also carry the heaviest hearts, depth of despair, tend to be the most corrupt and try to control other people in the most sinister ways? and why is it that those that let go of this find joy and happiness and a profound sense of peace?
Is confining yourself to look inward on a journey in search of truth really a bad thing? Or is it simply just a thing with out the need for a label and is an opportunity that by free will can be a means to finding the worst pain/and the highest enlightenment.
I say yes. Yea it’s that and those things all at the same time. And it’s how we choose that matters. Our action, our thinking, our desire to be open or closed minded. And the willingness to stay humble to receiving knowledge beyond this worlds understanding

Andre, you have a beautiful way of holding space. You are truly an artist and your art "washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life".
I "officially" became a Philosophy major way back in 2008, although I don't believe there was actually a beginning and will ever been an end. I don't want to flip back and forth to make sure I spell his name correctly although I will certainly be pursuing his work; I am surprised this is the first time I've been introduced to John V. It's good to see true philosophers making a comeback.
Thank you both so much, this was a beautiful dialogue.

In philosophical Taoism, "immortality" (xian) is more about achieving harmony with the Tao and transcending the typical human preoccupations with death and the self, rather than about extending physical life indefinitely. The goal is a state of spiritual liberation characterized by:
    1. Unity with the Tao: Becoming one with the natural flow of existence, beyond the duality of life and death
    2. Non-attachment: Releasing the ego's desperate grasp on physical existence and individual identity
    3. Spontaneity (wu-wei): Living naturally and effortlessly in accordance with the Tao
    4. Letting go. Returns to the uncarved block.

    AM I?
The choice of what you are, is produced by what you vibrates in your being. You are the subject that observes creation, who determines the manifestation of each particle, you are the one who gives meaning to existence, who decides the future based on your present, who heals your past based on your attitude. You are the one who makes the decision to live from unconsciousness or from consciousness, you are the one who has embarked on the adventure of living, you are the subject of each object, you are the one who gives meaning to the verb in action.
Everything we see, like physical things, it's all just islands and under it, carrying it, is this sweeping current. And if you pay attention, you can start to feel it. Now if we can feel the current we can feel other things in the current. People, and we can feel how the current will move them and we can see where they'll go. It's all in the movement, you see, it pushes itself. It's easier to move with it than against it. You can feel it! It's like a pulse.
This force, this energy field created by all things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxies together.
    And so, know this:
in every movement, you are exactly where you need to be. You are contributing to the grand unfolding of existence. You are the beauty, the joy, and the love you seek. There is no separation between you and the whole. You are loved, you are supported, and you are a vital part of the universe's infinite dance. When you align with this truth, your heart will leap in joy, for you will know that you are always, eternally, at one with the cosmic flow of existence.
All beings, all things, are one. And in this oneness, there is nothing but love.
    Namaste Ubuntu nævis
