This is my favorite part of the island..it is the part that feels like being on Big Island or Kauai. If/when I do move to Oahu, the hard part will be whether it makes sense to be so far away from medical care and the amenities of Town - otherwise, this area is where I feel the best in. Thx guys for the video…
Love your videos! I miss Hawaii so much! If things go as planed, I may get the opportunity to move back and enjoy the Aloha! Thank you again for all the great Videos and information you provide.
Glad you talk about the cons of beachfront property. I’m from Oahu and my boyfriend is European and we are thinking of moving to the islands. Naturally he’s got this dreamy idea of living right on the beach and me being from there I’m like “no, it’s gonna wreck our cars and appliances and it’s gonna be salty and rusty all the time”. Not to mention housing insurance and tsunami risk. I wanna be up a hill lol
We had a short day visit to this area and it is beautiful. Hawaiian culture reminds me of Trinidadian culture. I think Trinis/Hawaiians/locals will get along. 🇹🇹
I spent December thru March this year living with my ex-inlaws in Waimanalo - my favorite Windward town. Watching your vid brought it all back for me - Mahalo!! If I ever get the bucks to have a place there - you never know what can happen!! - LOL - I'm coming to meet you guys. My nephew's in Makaha, and wants me to come there - and I love the west side, too - but I'm really kind of a Kalama Valley kanaka. Love the breezes that blow thru there.))
When you were talking about the land across the highway, and talking about termites, i was wondering what the best materials would be for oceanfront property. Its not really a buying or selling topic, but might be a good video idea. Love how you guys talk about the different communities.
I love this video and I can’t wait to work with you guys to buy hopefully next year. I am hear now thanks to all the wonderful advice I lived over on that side first and now in Ko’olina. But I’m missing the great views! You are sooo helpful! Next week Laniikai juice!
From east to west, sunrise to sunset! Looking forward to working with you, Claudia. It's never too early to start. If you haven't done so yet fill out the contact form on our site. We'll be doing group webinars with future buyers, vendors and of course we'll be there to answer questions. Take care!
Born & raised dis side a kanaka mauoli @ 75 years old! It's God's Country! We all about keeping the country, country ❤yessah! Mahalo, don't come hea & try change us, our Aina! Just visit, be respectful & enjoy the experience of our side we love soooo much❤🤙
Lived in this area (Punalu'u - Hau'ula - Waikane) for a few years growing up, some of my formative years. Good area to retire I think, not many jobs. Extra points around La'ie if you're Mormon.
Great video. We love da poi factory! We always get a couple of sweet ladies (haupia ice cream with warm kulolo). Yeah. We love the east side of Oahu too. Did a couple of drone footage of Laie Point as well. BTW, every time we pass by, I always wondered how that home is surviving being that close to the water. Insurance must be high.
Where can we find out more about pre fab home you mentioned and permit here on Oahu? Is building permit law differed from each county (Hawaii big island and Honolulu Oahu) or pretty the same state wide?
Current infrastructure cannot support any unsustainable growth in that area which is great news; any road widening between Wahiawa and Kaneohe should be challenged to “keep the country country!”
I thinking living that close to ocean with erosion risk would add to life's daily stress. Better to rent if you want to live that close to the ocean IMHO.
Always a give and take, pro and con to every living situation. For some, hearing the water and smelling the ocean is therapeutic, for some it's more stress. Mahalo for tuning in 🤗
Oahu is America to me, sum sad, not even the winward side hides the fact how bad they over developed that island, the rail was the icing on the cake.. glad i moved to Maui from oahu. All those houses beachside wont be there in 50years thanks to global warming.. too sad
He hewa no! Saying you’d protest with us, then help an international customer buy home and aina, is not helping us keep the country, country. What is your vetting process to ensure they’re “good people”?
I understand you, see you, and hear you, Hawaiian. What you’re asking though is “how do you break federal fair housing laws?” so the answer is, we don’t. We do tend to attract awesome and pono people though.
I hate that your making videos that pretty much only mainlanders watch and getting them excited to move here when the truth is the locals dont want ANYMORE mainlanders here.
Local people stop me around town all the time and say they love our videos and a lot of Hawaiians on the mainland watch. One college kid sent us a video in tears thanking us. His uncle is the pastor at a Baptist Church in Mauka. I do understand your concern though. We don’t make the relocation industry. Please also be mad at the movers, Matson, car transporters, airlines, etc
BIG MAHALO to Kealoha for our serendipitous conversation about ownership in Hawaii - I think a lot of people needed to hear that!

Chinaman’s Hat original name is Mokoli’i ❤ and thank you for the beach etiquette notice😂
Seriously, right?! I understand when you go to Kaimana during summer break... but Ka'a'awa on a weekday at noon 😅

These videos are great! Please keep them coming. So helpful!
Mahalo Jacob! Let us know if you have any real estate questions 🤙🏽
I'm a malihini on Kauai. I loved this video. I appreciate the business and cultural education! Nicely done.
You're right. The drive from Hawaii Kai to Kailua is fantastic.
Sure is. Lanai lookout to Makapu'u is amazing.

I'm watching from California and I love your videos and live feed. Thanks for the great insight 🤙🏾
Thanks for watching, Frankie! How's Cali life?
Karate Kid 2 was filmed in Kahalu'u. We used to get off the bus to watch them film after school.
You saw Mr miyagi?!

The actor Pat Marita (spelling) played Mr. Miagi in the Karate Kid….. DANIALSON!!!!!! 🤩⭐️🤩
I missed your videos feels like forever. Thank you for making another awesome informative video! 💃🏻💃🏻
We've been meaning to get out here! Mahalo for tuning in 😁
We have driven by this house 60 times over 30 years. Yes, we also love this drive around the island and this area.
These videos are so soothing. Thank you🙏
Awesome job and great information 👍🙌
Thank you! 👍

The saying is "Malama Le Aiña" Keepers keep...
I have been to that part of the island. Most special place in Hawaii…. Laie is the reason.

Love that side of the island! Reminds me Hilo side big island!
Feels like it, yeah?! Kauai vibes too
@@movingtohawaii for sure! Not as busy more chill! More local kind 🤙🏽

Tried finding the Kaneohe video, couldn’t find it. Can I have a link? If can 🤙🏽
Here ya go: ruclips.net/video/8eYMMPBUapY/видео.html
How far north do you need to go to get out of the rain?
Can't outrun the windward showers. Best bet might actually be Hawaii Kai, as it sits on the SE corner of the island and is typically dry and windy.
If going north then Kahuku is more dry than Hauula imo but I haven’t seen the rainfall data
@@movingtohawaii Thank you...
How much did the property sell? 14:06
I want to buy a condo in Honolulu, but how will I find a company for them to mange it for me like the rental aspect for an Airbnb or long term

puerto rico love to you guys' happy holidays
3:34 Funny how Derek said, in Berkely, CA. probably the wokest city in the US next to Austin, TX. 😂
Portland, boulder, all of the Bay Area…
Idk if the name could stand in the Bay haha
Where is that swing located?
There are so many swings sprinkled throughout the coastline on that side. Can’t name em all! Probably a swing every mile 🤷♂️
Hau’ula side
You could tell from the way dude talk he wasn't from Hawaii😂
Can tell from the way this guy comment __________________ .

Complete destruction of the land is all i saw. Taken over and ran through.
totally unnecessary wasteful consumption, it's disgusting what happened to Oahu.
The real Hawai'i eastside 🤙🏾Town year after year more and more trashy disappointing

You realize they are also reaching out to transplanted locals and island descendants on the mainland.
