You can have two separate ones (personal and business) or simply convert your personal one into a business one. It depends on your preference. If you’re going for the former, you need a second email address to create a business account and a business Facebook page.

Hi Adam, thanks for leaving your question here! I’m afraid there’s no way around it. Your Instagram handle needs to have 30 characters or less so you’ll need to find a solution that works for you. I understand the frustration of having to shorten your chosen brand name but that’s just the limitation that Instagram puts on us. What name were you hoping to use for your Instagram handle?

Thank you so much Sharon! ✨ You can only edit or delete Instagram posts from your phone app. On your phone, if you click the three dots, it should definitely have both the Delete and the Edit options. If you can't see it, I would reach out to Instagram support. When you post an image, there is no way to add a text over it after it's been posted. You can only edit captions, alt text and tags from there. You need to create a graphic before posting it and it can be done in Canva.
On the Instagram app on your phone, you should see the plus button on the main Instagram page 🏠 in the top right corner as well as on your profile in the top right corner.
Hey Genevieve! 👋 Are you sure you have a business account and not a personal/creator account? I’ve just checked on my profile and everything seems to be working fine. It’s hard to know what’s wrong since I cannot personally see it, but if the issue is there even if you have a business account, I would reach out to Instagram support through the app (Settings > Help > Report a problem).

Yes, you can but make sure you use their details! I’d also recommend setting up a Business Manager through Facebook (or rather Meta now 😉) because it allows for the business to retain more security and distinguish between the owner and the social media manager. You’ll then be able to set up a business account on IG and have it all connected properly.

However, when I go to Instagram it won't let me set up a business account but is telling me I have to convert the account after I signup. You said below that all I need is another email address. When I go to Instagram to do so though I don't see an option on the website to create a business account. It is only asking me for my name and email. How would I create a business account without having to convert my account to a business account?
Hey Haylie, I would just create a new account with the email of your choice and then switch it to a business account. That's how you do it now and it's doesn't make any difference so you can go ahead and do it this way :)
