  • Thousands of residents of Tana River are spending another night marooned on islands created by the floods. The residents of Madogo in Tana River and Garissa have been cut off as roads were washed away by rivers that burst their banks and flooding caused by El Nino rains. The plight of the residents is likely to worsen as the rains continue to pound the region with increased intensity.
