It comes around so quick. I'd rather just ignore it. My boat is a 2004 so he's getting a bit now.
I've seen a narrowboat stuck on the river soar.
Stay away from rivers in winter. Baffles me how people risk it by staying on open mooring. Scary stuff, I'd never sleep.

You will find many boats that have slipped their moorings mainly because the owners do not know how to tie up their boats properly.
I have noticed that the canals are not being mentataind again by the c.r.t. Which is a serious issue . for boaters..
As for electric run boats ??? If finding charging points for my car is anything to go by .?? You will find many electric drlven boats stuck on the canals. Unable to go anywhere.
Even if you are lucky enough to find a charging point the cost of charging is ridiculously expensive.the range of the boat will reduce during cold weather just the same as a electric car.
I have found it more expensive than my old petrol car to run ..
Anyway will . Stay safe and well mate it's a filthy thumbs up 👍👍👍..if what is going on in towns and cities is anything to go by you have made the right decision to live off grid..
Well said, Wayne..I was on the Huddersfield narrow canal with an electric boat. They kept getting stuck because of the weight of batteries, not to mention a big diesel generator to keep them charged. I think electric is great, but unfortunately it will be used to restrict movement with tracking and usage. The green inquisition party will burn non-believers. It's all lies. Sad but true..

At first I did get confused when you kept saying Rippers, but now I get what you're trying to say. I do enjoy your Vlogs keep them up some make me laugh, some make me think that I probably wouldn't have said that, but still keep it going. My Birthday was on the 25th, I got a 10 squid in my Card from my Daughter, might go giddy with coffee and cake with it haha. Aussie H.

Sorry forgotten to mention good way to i find to warm up after being out in the cold boil a kettle pour boiling water into a mug and add two tea spoons of bovril stirring until its off the spoon. Love to drink bovril lovely taste.
If no bovril use an oxo cube same outcome warms you up.

Great vlog as usual 😊. Can you tell me, what is the flat/foldable canal map called that you use? I use the Nicholson's guides for our canal hire holidays but your map looks easier to view a larger canal navigating area 😊.
I wouldn't recommend it. It falls apart pretty quick. It's not that detailed either. Stick with Nicholson guide. Much more detailed. They sell them in Waterstones. 🫵👍👍

coal is just dug out of the ground ,slightly crunched into small chunks ,and that is it ,only compressed if been made into briquettes ,power stations have it crushed into dust to burn ,

I have owned a fully electric car for 2 years and am throughly satisfied with the technology. Over a hundred years ago 'luddites' like you said combustion cars wouldn't catch on! Get with the program it is the future and will help save the countryside and creatures you love so much
🤣🤣🤣 Electric cars were around in the 1800s. I think we are a bit behind. I would agree with you if the charging infrastructure was in place first, but it's not. So until then, it's not going to work. Do you charge at home on your drive? What about people in flats or on boats. What about motorway uses who wait hours to charge their cars. No..its not ready yet but it works for you so that's fine.
