- Description:
This is a small fireworks show that I put together as a tribute to our Dad who passed away suddenly Feb. 3rd of 2014. We love you Dad!
1st caveat, this was basically my first attempt at putting on a fireworks show..ever..so if there is something you didn't like, or "could have been done better"...sorry.
There were a total of 80 artillery canister shells, ten 500g cakes, and about 105 200g cakes, with a few misc. pieces and fountain. The boards were numbered 1-11 (actually skipped number 9). The boards were fired off in the numerical order, with the order of the cakes fired listed below. There were two of some boards (1, 2, 4, 8, 10), and they were fired at the same time. Some boards may have had minor variations in cake layout or cake. There were two misfires, meaning that 12 cakes did not fire (not due to bad cakes. Manually lit off the ones that did not fire those the next day).
We did not get to plan it the way we wanted; therefore many cakes were going off at the same time. As a result, I did not call out all of the cakes during the video. But it sure looked cool!!
However, they did fire in order as numbered per board, and in the order listed under each board as described below.
Boards 1, World Class Fireworks (WFC):

Finally, for those who would ask, estimated cost was about $1,700.00 and all fireworks purchased at Heartland Wholesale near Wayland MO. They have always treated me right!!!

I used two small economical but useful remote firing systems from remotefiringsys...
1) MS12Q
2) Sparkfire E32
The two misfires noted were not due to bad fireworks or the remote firing system. One was due to the fact that the cannon fuse connecting one board lit, then simply went out. The other was due to an igniter that I believe got wet (it rained all day on the fourth and the ground was soaked).
Finally, a shout out to Trent, Jesse, my wife, and everyone else who helped pull this off..it was awesome!!!!!
Thank you. I didn't get to see any fireworks this year and I watched this last night for my fireworks.
Andrea Ramirez I hope you get a chance to see live fireworks soon!
I'm a little late to the party, but holy crap man! For a first time that is amazing! You have to start somewhere in the pyrotechnics hobby and you absolutely nailed it! Many first timers don't even come close to the quality of a show you put on and to think it was in memory of your father, I hope that moment is something you will forever treasure! Thank you so much for the video. Very nice quality and well done show. I hope you keep the show going and make it a tradition for your family! Doing so will also allow you to gain more experience and get better every year. Again Thank you.
Wow what a good show. That finale!!
Nice show man! Even with all the "misfires" I felt like there really wasn't that much dead space. There should always be some dead space with any firework show to give the audience some breathing room and I feel like you nailed it! Coming from someone who has also lost their dad I feel for you man! Great show and keep on working on your pyro skills! You definitely have some talent there.
Awesome show, great tribute! like the Guerilla Warfare ending.
wow sorry to hear that my papa passed away in Febuary too dont feel bad everything going to be ok sorry once again
very nice job. nice flow & nice choice of shells.
It was an excellent job brother!!Amazing. ..A+
amazing show!
very nice. must've cost a fortune :) R.I.P. to your father
It sounds like somebody is tap dancing hahaha
Brianna Carmona That is funny, it does! Unfortunately, it's an artifact of using the built in microphone on a camcorder. It automatically compresses all sound recorded to fit within the dynamic range of the camcorders ability. I have a new video this year, and I had to spend 8 hours decompressing the sound in order for it sound more true to life...that video will be uploaded soon.
Pepto Bismol no wonder why!😊☺😉👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Pretty nice display. ;)
I just uploaded last years fireworks (2015) video yesterday..I am so bad at finding time to fit all of this stuff in. But, the issue with the volume (compressed sound) still existed. So I took about 8 hours and used by Digital Authoring Workstation to un-compress the sound and make it more true to form. It's not perfect, but it does represent the actual sound of the fireworks better (headphones or good speakers with bass is best).
what fire work was the red and white cake on the finale?
Awesome :)
nice

Why was this made by Pepto Bismol? Am I high?
+HazedNebulaƬψƬ Well, When I got into online PC gaming back in 1996, That was the user name I chose. In every game, I am PeptoB. Kind of fun when you get splatted by Pepto...Also, I really, really like the flavor!
+Pepto Bismol Cool! Ima seaweed so...
Basically I was eating seaweed paper(I'm Mexican) and then I took a bite of one sheet and it exploded into dust... So yeah
what fire work was the red and white cake on the finale?
If your talking about the fan cake (back and forth left to right), that's World Class Frontlines. Otherwise, the final three finale cakes (also red and white, but straight up) is also World Class, but called Gorilla Warfare.
