Chopin vs Dvořák is insanely difficult. But I would prob go with Chopin for the fact I'm a pianist and his music contributed so much to my understanding of music. However Dvořák is still awesome.

My picks : Webern - Bach - Wagner - Beethoven - Ligeti - Stravinsky - Fauré - Berlioz - Boulez - Schumann - Ravel Tbh I kinda did more switches than necessary, like thinking again I would stick with Ligeti to the end probably, but it's more fun like that, and my favorite composers weren't on the list ;)
I really don’t get Dvorak. To me he usually sounds like a less interesting Brahms. Can anyone help me find what makes his music special? I sometimes feel like Im missing out on him
listen to his 9th symphony and his 8th one, especially the first movement. Maybe his American suite. I can't say more, that should be enough, maybe don't listen to the whole symphony at once, repeat the first movement a few times till it clicks
There are a lot of composers that I and many other people enjoy who are just not included. Well, I speak from the more modern-liking side of classical music and not seeing Rautavaraa or Kabalevsky is a bit disrespectful for these composers who are in my opinion, just as good as them. But are too modern and obscure or too "not fitting for their time". Almost as painful as seeing Prokofiev out without a second thought. Otherwise, great video
Which piece of Tchakovsky to listen first cause i try noumerous time and i always find his music quit boring without any memorable melodies or anything. And also thanks for Dvorak appreciation for me this guys is the best
what pieces have you listened to? I suggest trying the piano suite "The Seasons". It's 12 character pieces, corresponding to each month of the year. And if you somehow haven't already, try listening to Symphony no. 6 (Very memorable melodies, especially in the third and fourth movement.)
@@spriterefreshed935 I Saw the Swan lake , pretty cool , i tried 6 th but only the first mvnt , i will try the other. Romeo and Juliett , concertto for 6 strings , 1812 ouverture , and some i can't remember. But i will try for the season it seem intressting

I agree with hiM Dvorak is so much more expressive. No stupid virtosity for show off , just pure emotion. 9 mvnt 2 is prolly one of the most beautiful piece ever. Goblin water , serenade for string american quarter ect ect. My boy Dviorak is just superior
