First thing I thought was, I hope he's not allergic to it. I am. And it's a near death experience if you have a severe reaction as I did to it. Kiwi is not an innocent participant on the baby's food spectrum.
Maybe most kids do that, but NOT MINE! My son wouldn’t even let me put butter or jelly on his toast until he was 5 or 6 yrs old! He just wouldn’t try anything! He lived on mainly cereal and milk for yrs! And wouldn’t eat the foods that most kids love, like Mac and cheese, peanut butter, mashed potatoes. Well, many decades later, his food circle has really opened up. But when he was growing up, it was tough trying to find somthing he would eat!
I have met A LOT of babies that like sour. My nieces as babies reached for a lemon slice, reacted this way, and continued eating it down to the rinds😅. And they still eat lemons years later!

Kids are not deterred by taste. My baby brother once sat in the middle of the kitchen floor and ingested lots of table salt. He would make faces to show the terrible taste of raw salt but continued ingesting it until he was stopped and rushed to the hospital by my mother. He was ok.
