- WSL2 uses HyperV for managing the WSL networking. In this video we have made the full use of this tool. I have elaborated the following 3 things.
1. How to give WSL2 an independent IP address from the router?
2. Can we use USB WiFi adapter with WSL2 for WiFi Hacking?
3. How to enable internet connectivity in WSL2
Commands used in this video:
sudo ip addr flush dev eth0
sudo dhclient eth0

Cool! its working 100%
I wanted to use WSL2 as a router (with my USB 3.0 WIFI) this still answered that question.
****EDIT: meaning as a bridge, which windows can't.
why windows can't do bridge ? ;)
This is exactly what I needed
thank you!
Hello, I have Kali installed on Win10 pro via WSL2. I have the PC connected to internet via ethernet which in turn shares the internet connection in Kali as you described in the video as Eth0 but the wifi adapter is not detected. In my virtual switch manager, I have the default switch and the WSL internet only switch set to my PC ethernet adapter as internal. Can I create a new switch for my USB wifi adapter and set it to external so that I have both eth0 and wlan0 in my kali linux at same time?
Oalah WSL2 cannot use airgeddon, fluxion, wifite, wifiphiser and etc, oke nice video and info. Thank you.
nice
Good
Can you tell which power adaptor should use for raspberry pi 4 others than official?
Bro mine is not working keeps saying temporary error occurred when going in internet
i cant ge the hyper- not available in my system iam using Dell g3
from cmos visulization is enable, control panel > windows feature - not available
any suggestion ??
yes but with this workaround you cannot make your own hotspot correct?
i get error when i apply setting in hyper-v
This Doesnt answer the question posed in the title of the video.
At all.
Cheap clickbait
Yes didn't say how to enable the wifi
So, the unswer is NO, we can't connet WiFi adapter to WSL2 for WiFi hacking.
try using the aircrack-ng in eth0
Hello, I follow all the steps, but when I type sudo dhclient eth0, it takes a long time and returns a ping with 100% loss and when I do an ifconfig ip does not appear on my eth0, I don't know how to make the internet work on wsl 2 using kali, could you help me? Everything works fine until you get to dhclient and it doesn't work.
go back to hyperV and change the external network and hit ok
How do I get wlan0 in Ifconfig
Does not work (kinda).
You can connect using the wifi stick but is not recognized as wifi adapter. So no monitor mode to use aircrack for example.
Is there any way arround that? probably not,but just verifying before finally moving to Linux 🤐
What about wsl2???????
sir, my device is not showing
i don't see WSL 1:05
doesn't work on my win11 machine: I don't have the Hyper-V Manager app
doesnt work
if you have wifi and not ethernet connected(on install). sure it should work as default, but will airmon works lol. you not need wifi if have ethernet lol.only for hacking lol
wifi hacking? how if airmon dosen't give a fuck for eth0?
Sorry but no I was really believe in this now I'm gonna clean wsl2 shit and go with vm
@Ahmed Mahran you probably cant't. not until microsoft will enable using the host hardware...and this issue esists at least 5 years, without any solution, so I wouldn't count on it.
@Ahmed Mahran sure! I am probably going to drop wsl2 for linux myself...to much time spent debugging it
@Ahmed Mahran
USB SUPPORT:
docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/connect-usb

You should try installing a Kali Linux iso onto a USB with persistence, then figure out how to connect the adapter to your live iso with drivers and allot... Main thing you need is drivers downloaded then most tutorials will work
