I live about 15 min from here in Bergenfield, NJ and last visited around 6 months ago. I liked going there because it hadn’t changed in many years and took me back to my childhood. Such a shame that it’s gone
The area with the checkered floor, circa 7:00, used to be the Little Caesars cafe, at least back when I worked there long ago. Must have closed it at some point after that because the only evidence I see of it is the floor tiles. I worked there in 2001, over 22 Years ago. Thanks for showing this.

I saw a video a couple days ago talking about how Kmart is like a time capsule because they don't h have money to update their stores, and I've thought about visiting one just for the nostalgia of earlier times There are no more in my state, so it was interesting to see this final walkthrough video you did
Miami is still open, but the entire store is now in their old garden section of the old store. Which could be a good concept like Dollar General. Yet if Ed Lampert has a task, he’ll fail

Wow, brings back memories. Thanks for showing this. About 5 years ago the KMart stores and Sears stores closed in our region. Kmart never figured out how to compete with Walmart , and then got finished off with Amazon competition. There was no way the owner with no vision of retail of the future was going keep this thing going.
What a friggin Sad state of disgrace ‼️ Our Super K ( Kresge's).In Brooklyn Ohio the best department store went under and was bulldozed in 2014 , Gosh I miss the deals from the delicatessen , you could purchase 12 pieces of fried chicken for dinner including two sides, for 💲 9.95 ,. Another American iconic institution gone and forgot ♦️♦️♦️‼️
@@DriftyAlison0 I think it was sometime in 2018 my mom brought me but I was 8 so I don’t remember anything about it. There’s one video online about the store and when I watched it, it looked really familiar but I don’t remember actually being there.
Not suprised really. I am more suprised that Kmart is still a thing. It won't be long for the other 2 to close down. Lost our Kmarts in 2011 lack of business and 2013 the lease was not renewed due to new owner wanting to put new stores in. (one is an air force warehouse and the other is a hobby lobby).
When my local Kmart closed several years ago, the going out of business/everything must go sale was a joke everything was still expensive way more than target LOL

Worked a K Mart in the 70's as a teenager. It was a wonderful place to work. It just goes to prove that you're never too big to fail.
The arrangement appears clean and organized. What a shame the town forcing it to close. Many years before K-Mart, the store was called Grandway.

Hearing I Will Wait by Hootie and the Blowfish inside one of a closing Kmart is a pretty sad sight to see
RIP Kmart. Pretty soon the only ones left will be the ones in the U.S.-owned territories but then those soon will eventually disappear overtime.

That was well organized, compared to the stores in my area. I would have loved to have shopped at this KMart
