One thing that impressed me was the Lt. mentioning a place for everyone to volunteer…admin, etc. A lot of departments don’t consider the non operational positions for people to volunteer that don’t want to ride a fire truck or ambulance, or maybe retired from the operational side, but still want to be involved.
@@HeroesNextDoorCan you just ride along when you visit another department or does everything have to be prearranged with your department and theirs? I've heard about guys going on vacation or a work trip and helping out at a fire (even inside work), but I don't know the rules or mechanics of that.

Many departments also let members be strictly a driver, an exterior firefighter, or Fire Police officer.
Always great video
Hey Mike do you ever do FDNY station rigs and cribs?
We need invites to film. Do you know anyone in the department that can send the invite. We don’t cold call departments. We would love to go for sure
