Gerry was there before the Beatles, he was the early superstar in the making, handsome and honest always. No one will ever forget Gerry Marsden.

I was lucky enough to see that tour, meeting the Searchers, and loaning them our amps.

@rcpinsa Thanks for sharing this with us, Roy!! There could never be better music than the British Invasion...when the Beatles arrived, I was never a lonely kid again after all the wonderful UK music that followed. It's cool to see this clip with the 'original' Searchers we saw on Sullivan -- Mike, John, Chris and Tony! John looked awesome here, confident and his favorite song is Needles! YES! I hope he will always want to keep their music keeping on! Cheri/CCF :-)

When I first saw this I missed John's comment about the Monkees. That was a fun tour. I caught the show at a sold out Massey Hall in Toronto and it really was superb in all respects.

sorry I missed this tour .Loved the British Invasion but I was 12 years old and could not get to any of the concerts at the time. Would have enjoyed seeing these groups live.

Freddie Garrtity has been in four films, one playing the lead role, plus he was in a kids tv show.
Mostly forgotten and never shown, if you'd seen any of his work you'd understand why

He reminded me of Peter Sellers here. They both had similar glasses.

Its not rock and rpll or rock bands they are pop groups singing pop songs.
