  • In today’s tutorial I’ll be demonstrating how to use GIMP to create a simple t shirt design where a subject from a photo is depicted within a heartbeat, or an EKG reading. This would be a great tutorial for beginners to follow as it’s a relatively simple task.
    If you'd like to follow along with the video, you can download the photo of the dog here: logosbynick.co...
    Want to learn more about how GIMP works? Check out The GIMP Series - a comprehensive collection of over 60 videos where I go over all of the major tools, features and functions in GIMP and explain what they are and demonstrate how they work. Learn more here: logosbynick.co...

    I absolutely love the design idea of the dog with the heartbeat. I immediately adopted the idea with my dogs picture. He's in hospital right now and we'll be taking him home soon with your design idea printed on t-shirts. Thank you for your idea and your great tutorials which are always interesting to watch. Keep it up!

    Nice to see you working with Gimp. I had a question. Do you work as a freelancer using GIMP? Most of the people says GIMP users dont get job as a freelancer for graphic design. I want to work as a freelancer and like to use GIMP and INKSCAPE. Please share some of the website links where I can work with these software.
    thanks in advance.

    Hey Nick, this is another genious idea from you: heartbeat line dog contours on tshirt. I admire your work, your tecnique skills and your ideas. I have a question: to learn all your tutorials, is this solid basis to do what you do as a self-depended designer, in my case in Switzerland, or is it better to do an education als graphic designer first (I have a diploma as webpublisher ..10 years ago?

    Hi Nick, what monitor would you suggest for creating raster and vector graphics to look good when printing? If you don't wanna say the brand of the monitor, just reply with specs such a monitor should have and of course the best screen size from your experience, thanks. :-)

    • @LogosByNick
      @LogosByNick  5 лет назад

      If you're going to be designing for print then I would go for something with a high resolution like 4K.

    • @LogosByNick
      @LogosByNick  5 лет назад

      If you didn't save your work then there's no way to get it back. In the future you can save your work as a .xcf file and you'll be able to recover it if it crashes. You'll also be able to edit the design later on if you want.

    I wish people would research ECG's before making images and especially tattoos. Not including the dog of course, that rhythm belongs to someone who is about to die. It's, at best, some sort of accelerated ventricular rhythm that will quickly deteriorate into cardiac arrest. Please stop making images of people's deaths. :)
