The biggest crisis of the cold war, where nukes were a trigger finger away from being launched and just yesterday you watched something that shows how humans are influenced by emotions and how things can go bad in a moments notice very unintendedly. I wonder how many people who watched this thought "I hope nothing goes wring in both our and the Russians nuke bases so they don't fire accidently". Which it nearly did with that Russian Nuclear submarine, if that launched its payload we may not be typing now.
I think sometime between 1962 and 1970, RCA and Whirlpool went their separate ways in terms of home appliance manufacturing. RCA would focus more on TVs and sound systems and leave the kitchen and cleaning room appliances to Whirlpool.
i believe you're right, and it makes sense- RCA is known as RCA-Victor the radios, while whirlpool sounds more like what's inside a washing machine. these things are important to consider for the people naming those things.
I love how both the original version and the Sing-Along version of this clip both have the line, "Elephants is supposed to watch television from OUTSIDE!! WHAT AM I SAYING?!? The subject is, what, what was I talking about?"
i like that the films at least try to get you to empathize with situations you may otherwise not know how to. the 21st century lost that and nobody has any empathy these days- its all about their own stupid little stories and how they can be "better" than everyone else. makes me want to forgive people, but until they start showing some reason to believe them i can't do that anymore.
