12/14/2021 Pan Am Railways (AYPO), (POAY), and Amtrak Downeaster 681 at Old Orchard Beach, Maine!🚂

What nice breezy today but little cold outside to chase the trains today. I have been hearding the radio scanner the trains are coming as soon, as I go up so quickly up at the platform just in time to chase the two Pan Am fright trains and Amtrak Downeaster 681 today. Both of fright train was the first AYPO coming from Ayer Massachusetts, and then there were the second POAY coming from Rigby Yard at South Portland, Maine and the last was northbound Amtrak Downeaster 681 coming from Boston! Those BNSF reefers on AYPO were likely part of 33 reefers delivered to norther Maine and used to ship Maine Potatoes to Washington State. First time in 40 years that Maine spuds have been shipped across the USA.
