I'm noticing alot of comments getting confused about which is the bottleneck.
If you look in most of the benchmarks the gpu is at full beans 99%. That tells you that the limiting factor is the gpu
A cpu at 90%+ and a gpu of lets say 85% demonstrates a cpu bottleneck.
The i3-12100f is an exceptional cpu for its price though i wouldn't recommend it for video editing or stream encoding due to its lack of cores.
The i3-12100f has very decent single threaded push which is still the 80% be all and end all for gaming performance with certain exceptions like past bf games.
For example the i3 will work fantastically on a game like tarkov
Please tell in short is this config is good only for gaming?

@@priteshnaik7972 of course, 4 core i3 is only for budget online gaming or old games and office/multimedia stuff. You will ever notice MASSIVE UI multitasking smoothness in Windows when switching from 4/8 i3 to 6/12 i5. I’ve had 10105F for a while, and after 10700K it was pain in a**. i7 was cpu for experiment only as i only game on pc so i really don’t need 8 core cpu at all. Now I changed to i5-11400F and pc is super smooth again, remember, I have 32 gb ram and nvme drives, but only blind won’t notice a diff in multitasking smoothness on these 2 cpus!

Correct me if I'm wrong. I3 12100 is NOT a bottleneck but in my opinion, if you are planning to upgrade your GPU in the next few years there is a possibility that it might be a bottleneck. I'd rather go with 12400f since I am low on a budget but don't want to spend money on upgrading the CPU later.
I know i’m a bit late but yes, you’re right the 12100f and Rtx3060 is a very good combo the “bottleneck” is nonexistent, but i wouldnt recommend the 3060 when the 2080 ti surpasses it by up to 30% more overall performance.

No bottlenecks are not dangerous at all, all it means is a specific component is limiting your pc from pushing, in gaming for example: pushing out more frames… So with this for pair of components the gpu is the bottleneck, so you have room to overclock the gpu to get more performance out of it (extra frames) and use more of the cpu, then if that becomes the bottleneck you can upgrade your cpu or overclock it.

A Plague Tale: Requiem System Requirements are i7 8700k paired with rtx 3070 the i3 12100f is almost at the same performance of that cpu , so you will be just fine i think thats for the 1080p ultra settings though , i have an i3 12100f with rtx 2060 super and i think the cpu can handle 1440p very well.

After looking at the performance graph I personally think I3-12100 is good for rtx 3060 (Not Ti) at 1080P , 3050 is too weak and would bottleneck i3 12100f in terms of performance . I've checked i5 12400f also and it also goes up in some games like CP2077 (like not 90%+) but it spikes upto 85 . I feel Rtx 3070 and i5 12400f are good combo for 1440p gaming .

@@alexanderunknown8605 That's not true...Fs doesn't scale brilliantly with more than 6 cores....its the higher L3 cache and faster max boost speeds of the more expensive CPUs that give slightly better performance. Not increasing core count.

no bottleneck on 3050, the fps is depend on the game you want to play, no problem for editing and multitasking
3060 is better for ultra and above 70-80 fps at 1080p. 3050 is too weak for latest and greatest games, it’s same as old 1070 or 1660super/ti, chances are you will be getting soaped up picture for fps with help of dlss, but 3060 is weak for 2k ultra 60 fps so it’s better for 1080p mlre than 60 fps, 3050 will soon be less than 60 fps at 1080p, well, i’m talking about raw performance without dlss soaping the picture up lol

if u want to use 3070 ti i recommend using the 6 core cpu above like ryzen 5600 or intel i5 12400, and for intel motherboard b660 is the way to go especially the one with the vrm heatsink also b660 have more feature than the h610

@@naufalrom8647 I fixed the issue. I did a clean reinstallation of Nvidia drivers using DDU and updated my motherboard BIOS. Now I get 125 Avg FPS with Ultra settings and without RTX on Cyberpunk 2077

I3 12100f or the i5 10400f are your best options. thats about as budget as you can go without leaving performance behind on your 3060 at 1080p
testing out i3-10100f and it's even bottlenecking a 6500xt in some games 3050 & tried a RX 6600 way bottleneck I know it couldn't handle anything crazy but geesh a 6500xt dam my GPU usage would be like 57% my CPU would be like 80% of my CPU would be 79% GPU 77%
i think you get bad performance with the 6500xt is because i3 10100f can only support pcie gen3 speed not gen4

check your RAM is it running on dual channel or not, and maybe your RAM xmp is disabled/running on default speed
