The 2 wtg had me in the game frfr! waves polished and depth shown, not to mention it just looks a lot better being that dark. The 1.5 shows some scalp. I'm sticking w/ the 2 wtg from here on out. but ive also been waving for 2 years so it could be that my hair is just trained and doesn't need to be that short to show progress

So I will put it halfway now and see if it will give me a closer cut, if I don't like it I will close the blade all the way and even it out. Thanks for the info. My hair is coarse but it get real thick. I could probably use a 0 guard open and it would look much better than a 1 but I want to try the 1 closed first.

Listen coarse wavers......If u use a 2 guard cut against the grain. Do not use a 1 with the grain u will loose progress especially if ur hair not dense. You gotta know how dense ur hair is. The older u are the less dense ur hair. Every coarse hair can not use a 1 with the grain. If u struggle with ur deph... This is the reason why. Trust me.
Course hair waves dont understand the 0 guard is what they should use often. That's the length course hair curls at most of the time and will leave the waves still dark and more visible

With the grain is when the barber cuts your hair in the same direction it grown in AKA the same direction that you brush it in.
