148th Inter Parliamentary Union Assembly and the Austrian Parliament

The 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union was held in Geneva, Switzerland from 23 to 27 March 2024. The New Zealand delegation comprised Stuart Smith (Head of Delegation), Tangi Utikere MP and Kahurangi Carter MP. The theme of the Assembly was “Parliamentary diplomacy: Building bridges for peace and understanding.” At the end of the Assembly, the IPU leadership made "an urgent political statement on behalf of the global parliamentary community":
