The place that fascinated you is the former Norblin factory. Plated metal was produced there, now it's a place of offices, shops, cinemas, restaurants, museums, etc. There are more such places in Warsaw, for example: Powiśle power plant, Koneser vodka factory, etc. Your hotel is located in the Varso Tower complex, it is the tallest building in the EU (310). It was designed by Foster Archtekt from the London Cucumber.
