This is kinda dumb but Becky talks like she's trying to manipulate Hannah (somewhat) into doing what she wants, while Tom is just telling her to come on over It kinda shows how each other is with kids too, since Tom treats Hannah like she's his kid
probably also reflects on their careers, Becky being a hospital worker that needs to get the kids to do stuff to help them whereas Tom, parent and teacher, is trying to get close and personal
That's a bit unfair. The only song I found I didn't particularly like was Monsters And Men, since it was too far on the ballad scale for me. The rest of them, including the other ballads, were at least pretty good to me.
Really I thought the music was the highlight of Black Friday. I really enjoyed basically every song, but I do agree this one has a pleasant eeriness to it that is quite pretty to listen to. (Edit: I just wanna say I’m not judging you I’m just expressing my different opinion)
I love how they sang this slightly off pitch on some parts, just to give it that extra twist

The best song in a musical mostly filled with mediocre songs.

I don’t think there are any mediocre songs. It’s a more serious show, with a more serious tone. The songs fit that quite well.

@@TheMadwomen And even if you dislike Monsters And Men, there's plenty who didn't. I do agree that it's probably the worst though.
You’re absolutely right and all the replies’ opinions are incorrect.
If you're somehow here from Mleko, cool. (cough cough she sung it better cough cough)
