Watching your video was very refreshing. You seem so humble and honest. Im glad you didnt stay at the first site. It was too remote. The other had a very good vibe to it. Good job😊👍
Thank you! Sorry to hear about your health issues. I can go through some stress and anxiety out there by myself, especially at night. But being outdoors does feel nice.
That's a very remote site. If your spidey-senses are warning you, listen to them. Much easier to drive out in the daytime at a leisurely pace, then attempt to flee in the middle of the night.
Nice video and thanks for posting. My kids love any campsite on the creek so they can play in the water. I've been around long enough and explored around the world enough to know that we as humans have dulled senses compered to animals, but those senses are still there and can warn us in subtle ways. Could be an odor, maybe an animal or something that the deep mind recognizes as a threat or issue, but isn't registered in the conscious mind due to the sublimity. You were smart and aware to register it and decidedly move on. Other wise you wouldn't have had a good nights sleep. That place may feel perfectly fine in a few days or so considering the conditions.
There's nothing better than a creek next to the site. I still may have just been being lazy, lol, but I'm glad I didn't take the chance. I definitely want to try and stay there another time.
Makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't say the stream at that site was too loud. There were a lot of trails that ended up at that site which was kind of weird. Originally I thought the picnic table and fish cleaning table were cool, but I think they gave me a strange vibe the longer I was there too. Crazy or not I'm here to camp another day lol
I have been to a campsite that gave me the creeps I left in the middle of the night left my tent and everything came back in the am took a nap and left lololololol I felt OK during the day but at night I kept hearing something bumping up against my talegate I woke up and was out of there lolololol freaking creep me out bad
Those weird sounds always come out at night lol. I try to pay attention to all the sounds during the day as best as I can. One time I went to sleep. The second I turned the lights out I could hear a scratching on the tent, when I turned the light on again it would stop. It was freaking me out. I eventually saw a little mouse climbing to the roof of the tent haha.
@anthonysimpson6738 it's raptor liner. It's usually used in the back of truck beds. It's a little more durable and scratch resistant. But you are not going to get a clean, sleek look like a normal paint job. So it would just be personal preference. Thanks for watching

Thank you!! I'm glad I left too, I've wanted to stay at the other site for awhile so it worked out well.
Always trust your intuition. We have it for a reason.
I had to. Didn't make sense staying in a place that gave me a weird feeling. Even if it was an amazing campsite
I really enjoyed your video, I have heath and anxiety issues but still enjoy being out in the forest

Agreed. Something wasn't sitting right. It was hard to leave a site so beautiful, but it was definitely the right choice.
It seemed like a beautiful, serene campsite. Hopefully, that spooky feeling was just a mirage.
It was really nice. Not sure what it was. But I am going to go by it again so I'll see if it's different next time.
If there's one thing I learned from David Paulites it is that if you feel creeped out you should leave the area immediately.
I may of had lunch first, but I didn't waste too much time

I tend to stay away from campsites with loud streams if I'm not familiar with the area. I don't like having one of my major senses taken from me.

instincts brother, we have them for a reason!
Hell yeah. Better to be safe than sorry.

Will never ever go back there
The paint job looks odd, all lumpy in the video. But good advice if uncomfortable move on.

@@AccidentalOverlander I think if going camping it makes sense more scratch resistant thanks for explaining
