Great video, thanks for making it! Unless i could get a good deal on a used Rogue, this is the choice very solid option. Appreciate your feedback on the quality. In my garage gym there’s only about 5-6 people that use the equipment, i could see where even the Rogue could get tore up if someone was careless (the padding obviously). I think I’ll be buying REP, they make great stuff, i agree with you 👍
What’s the footage of your gym. Sq ft and length by with and your wall height can you give us the company you chose and why And did it come insulated ? Or what are you going to do further ,we’re permits hard to pull ? Thanks for the input if possible , good videos ..
These GHD's are the IT product now seems everybody is talking about it and gym isn't complete without one. I don't see why hip thrusts, straight and romanian deadlifts and leg curls combined can't work the hamstrings like this and with benefits of progression and tracking. I'd love to know your thoughts.
Glute Ham Raises/Nordic Curls stimulate the hamstrings in a very unique way. While I am definitely a proponent of all the exercises you mentioned and include them in my programming, I can say with confidence that none of them do the same thing as a GHR...hinging at the knees while attempting to keep your body straight from the knee all the way through the hip to the shoulder is very challenging, especially when you add weight or band tension. I also like to mix up how I work different areas, so I have a lot of tools for posterior chain in terms of both large compound movements and auxiliary movements. Within a training cycle I always include glute ham raises, weighted back extension, standing hip thrusts (cable pull through), sometimes barbell hip thrusts, reverse hypers, good mornings, etc. This is in addition to doing RDL or any deadlift variation
I'm seconds from buying this as it's in stock right now on their website. However I see it only weighs 150lbs and I'm 275lbs. Idk if this would be ok for safety reasons?
@@animal1622 thanks for the suggestion. I've been told by many others on a Facebook group I'm in, to go with the Rogue Abram. As I was torn between the REP and Rogue Abram. REP would of just saved me a lot more money obviously but I want to make sure it's something I'm happy with and thats the right decision based on my size. Thanks.
@@BruhSayWhat I actually decided to pull the trigger on the Rogue Donkey, which will replace both my Rep GHD and Titan Reverse Hyper. I wanted to conserve some space, so one piece of equipment replaces 2. I am going to see my GHD and reverse hyper. The Rogue piece is expensive but built like a tank
I'm at this cross road right now. Buy the REP GHD or go with the ROGUE's. We have a reverse hyper already from Westside that we like. Doesn't take up too much space. Did you keep this piece or sell it after you got your Rogue?
I still have the Rep GHD. I'm going to keep it. I had gotten a Rogue Donkey to replace both the GHD and Reverse Hyper, but I don't like it and i'm returning it. The Rogue GHDs are really nice...can't go wrong with those. There seems to be a fundamental flaw in the design of the combo units (not specific to Rogue)...so i'm not sure that I would consider a combo unit at all
@@animal1622 Thanks for the reply Kurt. I appreciate your info and will get the REP version. If it can handle your routine I'm sold. Honestly it's not cost but more about footprint and space saving. The place I want to put it will fit nicely where the ROGUE is too wide and long work. Honestly for that price shipped it's a good deal. cheers brother!

You can move the band pegs facing the other direction
Thanks! I'm 6'10" 300lbs. My kids are getting close to me too. I'm going to choose rogue.
For you, I think Rogue would be your best option

1200 sq ft
40 x 30 ft
Contracted through Coastal Steel
Insulation was included in package
Permits were easy
I have plans to get some other equipment
Does the angled foot plate make the ham raises harder or maybe more awkward to do? I'm on the fence about the design
I don’t think it makes a huge difference either way
@@animal1622 cool. Thank you

It's fairly sturdy, but at 275, i'd probably go with a machine with a heavier build like Rogue's model

Great review bro
If you’ve used other GHD machines does the pad and footplate being angled like this one cause it to feel any different than most other GHDs?
No, I haven’t noticed any difference
I’ve used high end expensive commercial GHDs in gym…for me, this is just as good
Deciding between the REP GHD and Sorinex Poor Mans GHD (closer to the floor)
I think the Rep provides the most bang for your buck...solid GHD that is space efficient and doesn't break the bank
