Just found an amazing g35 sport sedan, 6 speed, black with black interior, bone stock. Figuring if I pick it up (98,000 miles for 10k) I’d do something to the exhaust that’s reversible, since it’s such a nice example.

If you ever want your g35 or g37 to sound good never ever take of the resonators… the best cheap exhaust is a cat and muffler delete

I have a bad exhaust leak right now; just trying to save up for a full system, including some type of HFCs. I want it as close to OEM sound as possible, but with better flow.

Look at isr or z1 they have the best exhaust for the g35 and g37
@@Xx1SailorScoutxX full system is stupid expensive for no reason and my guess is your gonna wanna fine tune it anyways. Get someone to custom do one it’ll be cheaper and probably better

As a proud owner of a 2007 g35x. It’s hard for me to approve of this.
Stock catalytic converters are still on . This is not truly straight pipped.
Oh hell no! Yeah this is unacceptable!! You can barely hear this car, and sounds no different than a stock 2018 Chevy Camaro SS and that's a damn shame 🤔Owner should have just run open manifolds, which is hands down the best setup and provides perfect back pressure and increased ice and snow handling in the months of June and July on these 2008 Infinity G35x 3.5L's.
Should have the manifolds turned down in winter and turned upside down in the summer

I find my "life" quite relaxing and yes one of my projects was a Taurus. Completely rebuilt from the ground up. It made 150 more horsepower than stock because I tore the engine apart and built it up. Has a badass exhaust system on it too. Better than anything that you might drive. By the way, what do you drive? I bet you one thing it doesn't sound as good as any of my project cars. 🤣🤣🤣

I had mine straight piped… For about 2 days lol… it was too much. Added a vibrant performance resonator and it’s still loud and aggressive but not obnoxious when just cruising. Muffler delete is fine but I would never Rock without resonator.
That's funny, I have 2 vibrants with no mufflers and thinking about deleting them..
@@RexxorDDG To each their own. It’s way too loud and muddy it doesn’t have a good sound. The resonator keeps it’s a bit cleaner. If you want it to sound like a 17 yo owns your car that’s up to you. 😂

@@RexxorDDG Keep the res in either situation. I have a single exit fujitsubo 3 inch with a 12 inch vibrant and it sounds loud but really good. If you go with aftermarket exhaust that could work but the res is important it keeps the vibration and makes it sound more refined not ghetto. I would try getting smaller resonators then if you don’t like it try single exit with resonator it is loud.
Muffler delete = no inspection?
I don't like rasp. I recently got my D16z6 Honda Civic Headers-->Magnaflow cat-->straight 2.25" Stainless steel pipe-->4inch tip. But I think it gives me a genuine headache. I love it, and it has some amazing sounds to it, (Fun backfires, super dramatic WOT, nice 4cyl hum on deceleration, awesome downshifts). But for a lot of the driving it's a constant rasp like the infinity here. I definitely believe the tip adds a LOT to the rasp. I think this because of my research here on YT.
I have a brand-new Magnaflow performance Muffler, but I am worried it will take away all the things I like, listed above.
Do you y'all think maybe a resonator would tone it down where I want it?

Don't let that deter you from getting a G37; just don't do straight pipe exhaust. VQ's sound best with resonators at the BARE MINIMUM.
If you do get one, do more than just straight pipe, intake, tint. Just be tasteful it is an awesome powertrain

I have a 2007 g35x and I love my car but this sounds like trash. I personally rigged a tomei titanium exhaust and stayed away from any type of “delete”. He should’ve at least got a cheap exhaust always sounds better.

Cheap choice for sound!!! That’s a VQ motor and there are good cat-back systems out there that would have sounded so good. What he’s got for sound is a dam trombone popping away on that car. The sound SUCKS!!
