Actually looks better than this on an old TV. I used to play the heck out of this back in the day.
Interesting story: The guy that wrote this game, Bob Polaro, was team buddies with Todd Frye, the man who (in)famously made the Atari 2600 version of Pac-Man. When their team leader presented them with two games to work on, Defender and Pac-Man, Todd Frye let Bob choose which one he wanted to do and he chose Defender because he didn't think Pac-Man would be possible (due to the extreme limitations of the system), leaving Pac-Man up to Todd. The rest is history!
