the big problem is when ur playing sealed and ur rare pool is just lands
With the lands in this set, I would not be disappointed if my 6 rares were all lands.
A good problem to have later.

Idk. Some of my best sealed pools have been having 1-2 shocks or fetches and being able to play strong colors with the option to splash removal or a bomb from outside colors. It’s like cube and how high some lands go for fixing.
I remember getting a boros pool at a GP and getting a Watery Grave and godless shrine. Was able to splash my orzhov extort cards so easily and took a deck full of commons that extra bit to go 9-2.
i think this set has common and uncommons powerful enough to compensate that

I feel like the play packs 14 change definitely impacts sealed. Feels like the difference between having options and being forced to build a certain way. It also makes you include cards you would like to leave in the chaff pile.
Sealed keeps getting stronger though. Chaff today would get played 10 years ago
@@RipAndShipI agree as far as this set and thunder junction. I disagree as far as karlov. The problem is we haven’t seen enough play boosters across enough sets to know that it will be that way going forward. Just that they hit a home run on thunder and modern of course is cranked to 11. I do know though that I tend to feel pigeonholed into certain colors more than past sets. I also have to splash a third more often than I used to. I think to bring more balance and a better experience in draft and sealed it’s time to retire the land cards. There are enough of those in bundles and commander decks to float for eternity if they quit printing them right now in play boosters and gave us another common or uncommon slot.

Seems like the value comes from a lot of fetches which is ok in my book. Maybe it balances the set out a little more too without so many insane bombs going around.

We pulled a bunch on our stream last night.
Lance talking about missing packs, I bought a case of 2X2 collectors and got 7/8 boxes. MTG made it right but took a triple take when I saw it.

I opened one of these today and each pack had at least 3 MKM cards in it. Our LGS had enough people with MKM cards in their prerelease kits they had to contact the WPN.
Wild error. Hopefully just commons.
@@RipAndShip all of mine were uncommons except for one rare. Most people with the issue had the same thing. Unsure how they slipped in.

Ever since getting into Pokemon cards late last year I've been seeing that superstition way too much.
Everyone is always saying things like "elite trainer boxes have terrible hit rates", "3 pack blisters have incredible hit rates", and etc.
You're probably already aware, but elite trainer boxes are Pokemon's equivalent to a bundle.

Play boosters really are a scam. 50% chance of getting another rare for nearly double the price? No thank you. That's basically the new loot box system for you since you have the chance to get a 4 or 5 rare pack - wow! Trash.
Same price as a set pack from MH2. Not really a scam, just the new way of doing things.
@@RipAndShip Sorry, but I have another opinion. Here in Germany you could play the MH2 pre release for 40-45€. Now it's at least 60€ and if you're really unlucky, you get 4+ booster with just one rare for a price increase of around 50%. That is greedy and absolutely not okay.
Mtg is scam atm anyway i remember when mh2 pre release is 50 buck cad
