I recently found your channel, it’s so friendly and informative, like chatting with a friend. I love this one! I know exactly what you mean about getting lost in motherhood, and it’s wonderful, but it’s not all of you and nourishing the whole you in so smart at every age. Just loved your message. All the best!
Oh, I am so glad you like it! Thank you for letting me know. I have been creating lots of stationery videos lately, following my interests but I have some study videos planned to upload soon so hopefully you will enjoy them too. 😊
Thank you for such an open and honest video. I think much of what you said resonates with us mature students. Between my fibromyalgia and ataxia and my children becoming young adults I felt a burden and unwanted which is stupid but since starting OU I’ve got ME back, I feel like I have purpose and a conversation and a reason again so I could completely resonate with what you said. Have a good break you deserve it xx
I am so glad it resonates with you Nikki! It is so easy to feel alone in it all sometimes-especially with distance learning I think. I am so glad we are buolding a little community here where we can all be ourselves and motivate each other. I really reasonate with feeling a burden-I often push myself way too hard with my fibro and then end up feeling even more of a burden so I am definitely working on balance right now!! xx
I decided to take a year out after a-levels due to feeling disillusioned with education and unexpectedly became a mum so never went to uni. I'm 3 weeks into year 2 of p/t degree, aged 43. I've enjoyed it so far but I struggle with the loneliness and isolation of distance learning. What do you do to combat that?

This is the most authentic video I've found and my experience with uni the first time around was very very similar. Thank you for making this!
