Cayenne Pepper, Yep I'll add that to my mix. I propagate Coconut plants for our Island, and in the shade tent I have been over run with white fly and mealy bugs. I have been treating them with Neem Oil, washing up liquid, and baking soda which seems to work, but I would get a little pleasure out of giving the critters a little heat.... LoL. For small plots adding some isopropyl alcohol to the mix also strips off the waxy covering of the critters. Way too expensive for spraying rows of coconuts....
You could use Tulle, its cheap, non toxic, doesn't rot in the sun. You could also if not already tried, use diatomaceous earth, FOOD GRADE. ty tc GREAT VID, AND BEAUTIFUL PLANTS.

I appreciate this video and the recipe, but considering all of your bra sakkas are grown in the same bed, I'm kind of confused why you didn't just build something to hold netting so that all of this could have been avoided in general. Again I'm really glad that it seems to be working for you, but wouldn't of waiting the pests be preferable because it frees up your time to tackle other beds with issues that can't be prevented?
Thank you for the video. You just reassured me that my ferment will work. I fermented cyan pepper and mix it with my JWA (homemade soap), and essential oils usually peppermint. Mixed in the soap. Tip for healthy soil: is a Jadam method. Called - JMO (Jadam micro organisms). Check out my indoor medicinal garden you'll see the results from using both practices.
I have heard that neem oil is very effective but not safe for pregnant or nursing moms. We personally haven’t used it because of having little ones for the last several years. We will be looking into it though 😊
@@GoshenFarmandGardens Thank you! It smells horrid but I’ve used it in my chaos garden (flowers put wherever for pollinators) and it seems to help. Apparently, my tomatoes have blight so I’ll be needing something to treat that asap.
You may wish to clarify. First you suggest 1 teaspoon. As you're mixing you suggest 1 tablespoon. At the end you mention not going over 1 teaspoon.

Is it 1 tbsp of soap to 32 oz of hot water or 1 teaspoon .? and then half teaspoon cayenne or half tablespoon/?

I have had slugs eat at the leaves, so far the only pest. What other pest/pests should I look out for?

Im going to try this with my thrips problem. I dont know why but I always get hit with them in my tomato patch (N Dallas TX)

It’s a Castile soap. We use Dr Bronners. Hopefully you can find something that works!
