If sam shamaun is right. Satan won the dispute. Which then begs the question. How did moses appear with jesus and elijah on the mount of transfiguration?

I try to parallel Jude 1:9 to Zechariah 3:2 where we see Satan opposing Joshua the high priest. The Lord again says to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, Satan". And I believe "the Angel of the Lord" in this passage is indeed the Lord Himself.
So the assumption that Sam and Myles has that the Lord should say "I rebuke you" is just reading one's opinion into the scriptures. Jesus in many instances talked of Himself in the second person plurals.
    Blessings.

Sam shamoun does not know what he is talking about. Tolmao means not to dread or shun through fear. Or be bold. Sam shamoun gives the complete opposite meaning. He does not know what he is talking about. I can't believe people take this guy seriously.

Michael like all beings of the creator do not act under their own authority, all including Devil is subject Gods majesty and therefore Michael acts in obedience as we (humans) should as well!

Jesus is obedient to the Father.
      John 8:28 (NASB20)
So Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am, and I DO NOTHING ON MY OWN, but I say these things as the Father instructed Me.”

Knowing what we know from Revelation 12:7-9 ( And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found anymore in heaven.9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ) We can see that Sam's misuse of the word tolmao is exactly that, a misuse.
Michael in heaven had already proven who was superior, he had no reason to argue with Satan over Moses. Michael knew that Satan knew that he understood that Moses belonged to the Lord even though he had sinned because Moses had repented. It's like a child trying to argue with the parent over semantics about why they are right, Michael knew his superiority over Satan had already been proven in heaven when he overthrew Satan and banished him. There was no reason for Michael to even answer Satan because Satan understood he was in the wrong already trying to challenge what his creator came to do. This is why Michael said " The Lord Rebuke thee! "
As SDAs, we also need to be careful when approaching this subject and how we phrase it. We can rightfully say that " The Arcangel Michael " or " The Angel of the Lord " was Jesus because both were past tense forms of Christ being the personification of these, however, We should never say that Jesus is " The Archangel Michael " or is " The Angel of the Lord " saying this is a statement of presence tense. Jesus is neither in his current form nor after his incarnation as a human being because he gave up all positions of spirituality when he left heaven to become human. So, we can instead say Jesus WAS " The Archangel Michael " or Jesus WAS " The Angel of the Lord " and WAS described Jesus in the past tense form before his humanity. Also, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-20 says Jesus's voice at his second coming and resurrection is the voice of " The Arcangel " but John 5:28,29 says Jesus uses his voice at the resurrection, so which is it? The answer is obvious, Jesus's voice is synonymous with " The Archangel's " voice. The Bible in John 1 describes Christ as " The Word " Does this mean Christ was a literal book? Noooo, it simply means he was and is the beginning and truth of everything that testifies to who he is.
I was once challenged that E.G.W. talked about other archangels in heaven when supposedly we believe only one Archangel exists. However, as Myles likes to say " context is king "The difference between archangel and Archangel is upper and lower case lettering which changes the whole description of the word. Lower case " a " defines angels in the chain of command under the authority of the upper case " A " This means that in the heavenly ranks of the angelic host, other angels have positions of authority over other angels such as captain, lieutenant, or so forth. However, the upper Case " A " presents Michael as the SUPREME authority over all the angels, the Commander over all the heavenly host. This can be seen in Joshua 5 when Joshua falls down and worships " The Commander of the heavenly host ", now the bible says only GOD is worthy of our worship and since this Commander never corrects Joshua NOT to worship him the assumption is perfectly clear that this commander was Christ! Normal angels always corrected those who fell at their feet to worship them by saying " See that you do not do this, worship God only ".
It simply amazes me how I as an ex-Baptist have studied this out and have been given the understanding of it compared to these men like Sam and Myles who rely on their own understanding as the bible warns about due to what they claim as their own superior intellect. What arrogance, to boast of your own understanding instead of relying on the Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth.

Jesus was and still is Michael the Archangel. It is not just past role. In the time of trouble Michael will stand up for His people. When Jesus returns He will use the voice of the Archangel Michael. It is not just a past role. It is present and future.

Let us read it by the context.
    Warning about False Teachers:
    Jude 1:8-10
8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
Note: Archangel Michael and Satan is both creatures and only in the name of the LORD that archangel Michael came rebuke Satan.
The Vision of War in Heaven:
    Revelation 12:7-9
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Note: The battle in heaven was creatures to creatures because if the Creator will fight with the creatures, He will just speak the Word and Satan with his angels will be thrown out in heaven.
God's Son is Superior to the Angels:
    Hebrews 1:5-14
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
    11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Note: Remember our LORD God Jesus Christ the Creator of Heaven and Earth is superior among the angels including the archangel Michael in heaven because angels and archangel Michael is only creatures created by our LORD God Jesus Christ.

Archangel Michael is superior to all angels because He created them.
The war in heaven was between Creator and creature. The war continued on earth between Creator and creature. The creature wanted to be like the Creator and tried to kill the Creator on the cross.

Michael the archangel is not the Creator. The only one Creator is our LORD God Jesus Christ alone. The battle in heaven yes is between Jesus and Satan but our LORD God Jesus Christ let His angels fought for Him because if Jesus will fight with Satan by His Word, Satan will thrown out in heaven with much effort. So the battle in heaven is between creatures to creatures and not Creator to creatures.
