  • We arrived at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco after driving across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a grand entrance a hotel like this deserves. The hotel boasts a Historic Hotels of America status.
We enjoyed traveling back in time via the hotel’s black-and-white photographs and historic memorabilia housed in its free history exhibit, “The Museum at The Mark.”
The hotel opened in 1926. The prime real estate it’s on was once home to the 40-room mansion of Mark Hopkins, one of the founders of Southern Pacific Railroad. After the mansion was destroyed in the fires caused by the 1906 earthquake, an eye-catching 19-story hotel eventually replaced it.
Room-wise, you can choose from cozy rooms to spacious suites. In some of the suites what were once outdoor balconies have turned to sunrooms. Regardless of the room’s style, guests are guaranteed captivating city views.
Nob Hill Club, the restaurant in the lobby, makes incredible meals. You will also find an onsite fitness center open 24/7. Don't miss the Top of the Mark- The nostalgic 19th floor cocktail bar where kids are allowed until 9:30 p.m.
The hotel has one of the city’s most desired addresses in the heart of Nob Hill. You have easy access to everything from the iconic cable cars and are walking distance to many of the city's biggest attractions.
