  • The MacCallum House, found in the heart of the Mendocino Village, was our home base during our visit to Northern California. After about a three-hour drive from San Fran we pulled up to a Victorian Mansion to check in. Gardens and an inviting wrap around porch surround the property.
Here you will find a prime spot with oceanfront views and is one block away from Main Street. Guests can stay at the Inn but there are several other room options too.
We stayed at the MacCallum House Suites, which are just a few blocks away. No matter where you stay, the rooms are all updated and comfortable. Staying here, we especially loved having our own hot tub.
Each morning we walked to the MacCallum House where we found ourselves cozy with a fireplace and enjoying a fantastic breakfast on a sun porch patio.
After eating we could run down to Mendocino Headlands State Park where trails made it easy to follow the coastline. Next up, was the Glass Beach and of course, you can’t visit Mendocino without exploring its village.
Come dinnertime, it was back to the MacCallum House where dinner is offered 7 nights a week. The rustic atmosphere felt especially cozy with the fireplaces. On the menu you will find flavors of the village with local ingredients.
