Pretty sure it's just a joke Brad started up because they are so different, with Delaney being the young guy in the kitchen and a bit of a hipster, and Brad being an older guy who is alot more traditional, but they are both solid dudes so it's all in good fun.

It's a dumb dad joke from a long time ago that even gay people use. I'm not saying that it's tasteful, but it wasn't directed at a person or people, and is almost like an anti-bias joke, along similar lines as "What do you call a black guy driving an airplane? .........A pilot, you racist!"
Similarly, the confederate flag cake was a joke making fun of the south, not endorsing the confederacy.
To boot, both were a long time ago (one when he was like 17 years old?). We were all less mature and less aware of others' feelings at some point in our life.
Persecuting Delany over is a dumb, oversensitive waste of time.
The real villains are still out there, believing and spreading hate. Delany is just a goofy guy with good taste and fun to watch segments.

Claire and Amiel, Christina, Rick, Solha have released statements on Instagram about it all. Lots of issues and for the most part at least everyone except Andy, Delaney, and Rapport have done some bad stuff.
Delany in particular had some vine videos resurface of him talking and using homophobic slurs and for some reason taking pictures with a Confederate flag cake (which is very weird to me as well).
Rapport has resigned, and well things are shaking up there
