Thanks for this video I never drove an automatic always manual as I'm from UK and unlike the US we use gears and clutch in most cars even trying to buy second hand automatic cars are hard to get. But anyway great video for people who may be nervous.
Hi, thanks for the video. What is the purpose of N ? Do I need to put the gear at N when I stop in a traffic light or leave to D and press the brake pedal? Is there any reason I need to put at N and what will happen if I am not. Other people say to put at N when stopped in traffic others disagree. Thanks in advance.
Hey there ! N is for neutral, it’s really only useful when you are towing the vehicle, on a fully automatic car like this, at the traffic lights, I would not select neutral and I would leave the car in the drive mode with my foot on the brake Some older style automatics had a semi automatic gearbox , those ones would require you to put them into neutral at a traffic light, but not on this particular one, hope that helps!
Many thanks. Is there a demo of the Tucson auto hybrid please. Just bought a new one today (UK) and the book is massive. Thought there might be an idiots guide, but no such luck !!
It sounds like a mild hybrid 🙂 The battery contributes to running auxiliary equipment in the car and even starting the car, but the engine will always run in a mild hybrid .. it Is unable to drive without the combustion engine 🙂🙂
@@MrCoulter32 I wouldn’t buy a mild hybrid for fuel efficiency as it has little impact but in certain models you have no choice as they only come in mild hybrid .. full hybrid is more fuel efficient but I don’t think it comes in NLINE ??
Hi Sarah, so the manual mode allows you to manipulate the gears if you want to change them yourself, I suppose it makes you feel more involved in the driving experience, most people however want convenience so they generally don’t choose that sport mode , the sport mode also reveals a revolution counter on the drivers display instead of an eco gauge .. again the idea is just to make it feel more involving and sporty! Hope this helps!
HI Brian, I spotted this Video and I find it hard to belive your having to show the many how to drive a automatic car it's 2022 if we have drivers on the road that struggle with a auto box then we have a problem a massive problem at that. I do watch a number of video's and in the USA a lady took her new car back to the dealer and said that when it's night time her car won't drive. That's due to the fact she thought that D = Daytime & N = Nighttime. Need I say more. You can't make this up can you. LMFAO Cheers Alan B. P.S I would expect customer's would do the research on HEV prior to collection. If not why not?
I suppose it’s really hard to prepare unless you are sitting in the car and in this country we still have a lot of people that drive manual gearbox, hope all is well Alan!
Just bought this today. These videos are so helpful, first time driving automatic never mind hybrid!

One question if you could please. What is the D1 position - is it for Manual gear change ?

Hi Brian what's the story with the 'sports'/manual mode?

Do you think it’s unnecessary to explain it?
