This is musically similar to Nemertines, but very much Ovid's Withering. I like thos side lf the band, although I prefer the other a bit more. Nonetheless, I always want to break something when Gareth first comes in. Excellent job as always.
I just want everyone to know that for the past 6 years I have been blaring this every time I get a scam call from India. They don't last long - but one guy was on there for 3 whole minutes and i felt the phone vibrating with his screams.
That first part when Gareth comes in, with that epic groove. Fucking crushing. I'd say these guys have outdone themselves but... well, all of their songs are brilliant, so it was as expected. ;3 New level of heaviness though. Can't wait to hear the rest of Terraphage.
Awesome stuff, slightly different with the riffs but I love the synths and ambience Ovid puts into their music, gives it that extra special touch, grim and haunting, the way I fucking love their music \M/

The other guys that left Ovdi went on to form another band called Nekroi Theoi. They've only posted a couple of demo tracks so far, but it's really good stuff.

I wouldn't exactly call Ovid's Withering core. They're progressive metal, though they use and incorporate many different genres of metal into their music, which is one thing I love about them.
Their mathematical chugs are prolific, but when you think about it, this aesthetic doesn't really resemble the hardcore punk that the name is borrowed from.
+Of Plagues I totally agree with the progressive part of what you're saying. But, you can definitely call this symphonic deathcore. Ovid's a very theatrical and grandiose kind of vibe. I'm a big fan of all sorts of core oriented stuff, so I hear a lot of that with them, like, what their foundation is, at heart. Absolutely on the progressive side of town, of course, so I'm not putting down what you're saying, more so just kinda adding to it. Cheers, bro. \m/

+Michael Wagner yeah, Aaron Rodriguez (guitarist) tried to get sexual pics of underage girls, bandmates' gfs and stuff like this, fucking creep. When the other dudes discovered that he tried to exploit underage girls they all quit the band.
The reason they quit is that Rodriguez was the major composer of the band and they wanted to get as far as possible from him. No more album, no more singles, nothing.
Are you guys still keeping the death/blackened elements from your older songs? Don't get me wrong I like this tune but a breakdown fest for every new song would ruin it for me
