I actually like that they have a 1.0L automatic ST besides the 1.5 manual, it's perfect for if you want a bit of fun but more comfort and practicality than the standard ST has. I'd love a 1.5 ST Fiesta though!
I have a mk8 fiesta ST PE and it’s amazing!, always wanted to give the puma a try to see the difference in how it being bigger and the centre of gravity effects the drive.
Hey Bobby thanks for the comment. You should deffo give it a try. It’s a pretty fun car. I will always love the fiesta ST though. I can’t believe they have got rid! Thanks for chatting with us 🤗
I’ve just part exchanged my 2019 focus st for this puma st and I’m definitely not disappointed😊 what a car excellent mpg and super quick if you want it to be! The focus was a bit of a beast with its 2.3 litre engine but my god did it like a drink of fuel and it was a bit of a pothole finder and in the uk it didn’t have to look far…..and the puma is cheaper to insure aswell👍
Hi Phil, thanks for the comment. That’s Awsome you are loving it and great that it’s cheaper to insure as well that’s very interesting to know. What colour did you go for? Thanks for chatting with us🤗
i have the exact same model and colour and i love it the automatic is fantastic a couple of changes on the media from my st line x i had but yes love it, and a great video too really shows of the lovely azura blue
Hey Alan, thanks for the comment and kind words. The blue is beautiful and the car is great fun to drive so agile. Appreciate you sharing and chatting with us 🤗
I love my Puma but if you are doing a review then you should balance the negatives with the positives. The rubber door seals above the rear wheel arches are terrible.
@@CarChatTV cool, i thought i was commenting on a South African video i was watching, they finally launched the Puma this month. Personally i would go for the manual. i used to drive a manual Corsa OPC back in the day.
I wasn’t being sarcastic, I genuinely didn’t know that you could get a car with 7 gears, I’m the near future I’m interested in buying a Ford Puma but I don’t want the 1 litre, that’s not very powerful, does the 1.5 litre come in automatic? Can you get a 1.5 litre st automatic?
@@WayneTulip-zm9gw oh right! Sorry! Couldn’t tell from the message lol no the 1.5 ST only comes in manual I’m afraid from what I remember. That’s why they brought out this auto ST as another option. Appreciate you chatting and leaving us a comment 🤗
I have an st line 155bh and yes it is great except the 48v battery has gone defective and it's out of warranty. only 23000 miles on the clock, 2020 reg. i am in the process of seeing if Fords will foot the bill for replacement of the battery but the total cost of replacement is £2000 +. anyone else had this problem?
I had a Puma St-Line x 155mhev for about 3 weeks while Ford f-ked about fixing my ST Focus. To me the Fuel Consumption wasn’t much better than my Focus 2.3T . BUT at the Time it was Fairly Nee on the scene and it drew alot of Interest more than my Focus Does. And i actually did’nt mind it . For a 1.0 3 cyclinder i thought it had a bit if Poke . But i doubt id want to own it .
Beautiful looking puma in that colour, i think its great that you have the st in 1.0t auto with 170ps , but shame they stopping the 1.5t manual one, the st looks good in that azura blue and mean green too and i like the look of the puma vivid ruby edition its beautiful and very well specced too, would be a hard choice between azura blue 1.0t st or mean green 1.5t st or vivid ruby edition puma, plenty choice 👌😁🏴
Why can’t this be sold in the states? This would do well. That’s right keep selling 100K pickup trucks no one is buying. Real smart. Anyways, drove one on holiday as a rental touring Ireland. Fun car. Handles real well
Currently driving st line puma and the suspension is in my opinion caught out by poor road surfaces have also driven many a ford since 1977 and that is my experience
@CarChatTV you're out of date, Sir. The car has just been launched again as a face lift with bigger screens and improved interior but the manual handbrake remains.
@CarChatTV No issues, keep up the good work. Google the Puma face lift and you will see the interior is vastly different. I just can't believe that they kept the manual handbrake anchor!
Sorry I guess that didn’t make the edit! It’s on the firm side for comfort but that makes it a fun and agile drive. Road noise nothing that’s going to put someone off not getting it. Are you a fan of the puma? Thanks for the comment 🤗
Hey Gavin, thanks for the comment. Was it just the headlights that put you off. Always interesting to hear peoples thoughts after they have driven the car. So appreciate you chatting to us 🤗
@@CarChatTV I would prefer a 3 door car. Somethings I suppose are just the general trend in cars. I like the size of the fiesta and don't like the trend towards larger cars. It is not available in the same silver as the Fiesta. At £27k am I paying for features I don't think I'll use, such as sport mode? My test drive was in a city centre during the rush hour, not the best condition to test. The seat seemed smaller than I'm use to but was told it needed adjustment . I was in a manual.
I did when they produced the Cortina, Capri, Granada etc. but what have they got to offer now. BMW have done it with the MINI and FIAT with the 500 so why can't FORD bring back the Cortina mk3 GXL?
I’ve read that the new Ford 1.0L 3 cylinder engines now have a chain drive to the camshaft instead of the wet belt which was the cause of all the problems.
I have the 1.5 ST and what a car
It drives like a gokart
Im a Ford lover since ever and im gonna say thats a brilliant car

My Fiesta didn't have a spare.
Waste of space. Best used for a spare wheel.

From what I hear yes. Nice little economical 3 cylinder 👍🏽

That’s a shame, the 1 litre isn’t powerful enough, I’ll have to search for another option, maybe a fiesta st. ☺️
