Peshwa Bajirao was also heading to Delhi to kill Nasir Shah . But as the news of Bajirao coming to Delhi reached Nadir Shah in April 1740 he left Delhi in hurry on 1 May 1740. But Peshwa Bajirao died on the way due to heat stroke. If peshwa would have not died Nadir Shah would have been killed and history very different. Maratha would have conquered even Afghanistan then. Every king use to shiver hearing name of Bajirao.

Babur was a foreigner. He defeated Ibrahim Lodi and got settled in India. All his childerns were Indians. India was safe from foreigners until Mughals were powerful. India prospered and great things were build and economy was booming. As Mughals empire has fallen weak other powerful forces from the west including British has completely broken India and took away India's wealth coz the regional kings were just not capable of defending India whether it was the brave Rajputs, or the brave Marathas or the brave Jats. They didn't even helped each other against a foreigner Abdali. They were fighting each other and yet they claimed to be nationalist. It's sad that India was looted many times.

Nadir Shah came to India angered at the fact that Peshwa Bajirao had knocked on the very doors of Delhi with his cavalry. Commanders Sadat Khan and Nizam ul Mulk were defeated multiple times by the Peshwa - These are the very commanders you are glorifying? Hearing that Nadir Shah was on his way, Bajirao himself set out from Maharashtra.
Bajirao met with his untimely death at Raverkhedi when he was on his way to counter Nadir Shah. Please do not show onesided history and mislead people.

Nadir Shah entered Delhi as a victor on 9th March, 1739. He demanded 2.5 million Rupees as retribution, but the Rangila Emperor had nothing in his government treasury. He threw open his personal safe of jewels, and Nadir availed himself of all the diamonds and rubies of the Peacock Throne, and also the famous Koh-i-noor diamond. He left Delhi at the beginning of May 1739, taking with him a few thousand Indian girls (both Hindu and Muslim), a large number of boys as slaves and thousands of elephants, horses and camels loaded with the booty his men had collected. The hollow shell that made up the Mughal empire had been smashed open by Nadir Shah with one sweep, and the Sikhs quickly moved in to collect the broken pieces.
During his stay at Delhi, the Sikhs had come out of their jungle retreats and had no difficulty in looting all the Mughal posts at countryside from the river Chenab to the areas around Karnal. Zakaria Khan's police forces were too demoralised to offer resistance. So Nadir's arrival was most opportune for the Sikhs in the replenishment of their depleted stores. Again when people learnt about his departure from Delhi, the rich landlords and noblemen promptly evacuated the cities and headed for the hills as they could not trust Mughals for their security anymore. Mohmmad Shah Rangila was a bad administrator, all his croonies had looted the rich landlords and elite after Nadir Shah left to fill up the coffers of Mughal kingdom.
Meahwhile, the Khalsa bands got together and passed a resolution to take revenge on Nadir Shah. Nadir, on the other hand, felt that his reputation was a sufficient deterrent to anyone attacking him on the way. He had chosen the route along the foothills of the northern mountains to escape the heat of the plains. His baggage train being heavy-laden, lagged well behind his main force, and it was quite a shock for him to hear on reaching Akhnoor by the river Chenab, that all his slaves had been freed by Sikh bands, who had also seized a large share of his gold. Sardar Jassa Singh Ahluwalia who had just turned 21, showed a glimpse of his greatness as a leader by planning those raids, and by escorting the freed maidens to responsible homes from where they could return to their families.
Zakaria Khan had accompanied Nadir Shah to Akhnoor, and Nadir asked Zakaria Khan who those Sikhs were. On being told that they were all bands of poor sadhus, without clothing or riches, he asked;
"Then why don't you burn their houses down to punish them ?"
To that Zakaria replied,
"Their only homes are the saddles of their horses. They can last long periods without food and rest. They are known to sleep on horseback. We have put prizes on their heads, but their numbers keep increasing. They are never despondent, but are always singing the songs of their Pirs."
With a sigh, Nadir admitted that in that case the Sikhs would one day rule the land. Then he obtained a promise of a tribute of 2 million Rupees annually from Lahore, and confirmed the appointment of Zakaria Khan at Lahore and of his son Shah Nawaz Khan at Multan (where Abdus Samad Khan had just died). With the departure of Nadir Shah, Zakaria Khan took stock of his household and saw it all in ruins. He decided to take full revenge on the Sikhs for all his misfortunes.
Nadir Shah's victories made him briefly the Middle East's most powerful sovereign, but his empire quickly disintegrated after he was assassinated in 1747. Nadir Shah was probably the last great Asian military conqueror. But Nadir was also responsible for the mass murder of many civilians, especially non-Muslims, during his military campaigns.

No, I am sorry but Taj Mahal was definitely built by Persians. There are little to no Indian influence. Both the architects were Persians: Ustad Isa and Ustad Ahmad Lahauri. You are confusing Abdali's invasion to Nadir Shah's. It was during the afghan invasion of Abdali that the Maratha general Sadashivrao Bhau lost to Abdali in Panipat. The marathas had a lot of camp followers who came with the army to visit holy places in the north. Abdali captured them, killed the men and children and took the women. 2000 women had already committed Sati. This btw was the largest Sati after the sacking of Vijaynagar ( history books never mention this. The count was 8000 in Hampi). This is when the Sikhs came to the rescue. Despite being snubbed by Sadashivrao to form an alliance against Abdali, they rescued the female prisoners and sent them back to Pune. As true sons the soil, the sikhs later avenged Panipat taking the war to Afghanistan. Abdali lost all the advantage he gained in India. Infact, the invasion became a strategic blunder for Afghans and the empire vanished after.
Panipat teaches a lot about strategic decisions, especially the mindset of immensely successful general Bajirao Bhallad and Sadashivrao Bhau. Both were brave and disciplined, as were the Maratha armies. But Bhallad used alliances and terrain to advantage, used guerilla tactics which Marathas were best known for. Bhau snubbed the Jats and Sikhs, the actual people who knew the north, took camp followers much bigger than his army, took the future Chatrapathi with him to war, who died in camp, was too proud of maratha valor and most important, he shunned Maratha guerrilla tactics for French formations, which his army had little experience in. Bhau was brave and fought till end. But his errors cost a lot of lives.
A shout out to all my Sikh brothers. You have defended the Hindu dharma, despite facing huge challenges yourselves throughout history. It takes a lot of courage to stand in a quick sand and yet offer a hand to the sinking.
