    Face shape is one thing! Your body shape plays also a very important role. If you have a very romantic curvy body, about 5 feet, pixie wonˋt work for you, even if your face would fit. Face and Body together you have to consider. Aly Artˋs channel is great to explain this.

    • @dardar267
      @dardar267 2 года назад +10

      You are so correct in saying that face shape is only one thing! Also, the size of the face, as well as, outstanding features such as small eyes, long neck or a big nose, must be taken into consideration in addition to the shape of the face when deciding on the best cut/style for a client. A hair stylist would be remiss if he/she did not consider all of these aspects.

    Here's the thing - I end up hating the haircut not because my face shape doesn't match the hairstyle, but because my face doesn't. Like you've done here, the examples for hairstyles are with amazingly beautiful people. I can have the exact same cut and it looks totally different because I'm not amazingly beautiful. I want to see haircut examples with real people. I don't have a forehead, I have a fivehead. I want to see that. I want to see a haircut with someone with a big nose or big ears or one eye that is smaller than the other when they smile. I want to see old people with wrinkles and sagging jaw lines and not just people with gray hair. THEN I can pick a style that is right for me and know what I will truly look like with that cut.

    • @christinamarcet1780

      I would look to Jennifer Aniston. She has thin hair, not thick at all, and she softens her square face with long bangs, a slight side part, and often has her hair at collarbone length. Avoid blunt bangs, which will square you out even more. You can soften your face even more by adding a little curl or bend to your hair. The wispiness of your hair will be an advantage. And use thickening shampoo and the lightest conditioner you can get away with.

    • @keweplz
      @keweplz 2 года назад +1

      For thin hair I always go for either a one length cut where the ends are cut in a blunt line, as it creates an ilusion of more hair or a lot of volumizing layers, with layers there is a bit of styling needed to keepthe volume but if it's a part of your routine already it shouldn't be a problem. Now you shouldn't feel ashamed of your face ir your size, you don't need to hide behind anything, to appear thinner as long as you feel like you are being your authentic self, do with your hair what will make you feel good not what will make you appear to be something else entirely!

I am either oval, diamond or rectangular. My forehead is 5," cheekbones 5 1/2," jawline 5 1/2" and length of face 7 1/2". If anyone can tell me I would be grateful! I was thinking of doing an entire playlist and having a video dedicated to each individual shape so that I can properly explain some haircuts that would work for each shape IN COMBINATION with texture. Some cuts would work “in theory” but not in reality because certain people have hair that’s WAY too thick or thin for the style that is best suited to their face shape. There are lots of ways to navigate those issues. Stay tuned for that!
