- What's up guys?!
Here is Manuel Neuers' full warm-up from Bayerns International Champions Cup match vs Arsenal on July 18th, 2019! IMO, there were a lot of interesting drills throughout the clip. I was mainly surprised by how many shots his coach his from the top of the 18. I cut out a few because they were rather routine, but all in all, I counted about 23 shots on frame from about 18 out. Lots of interesting notes to take away from this!
Comment your guys' thoughts and lmk what you liked vs what you didn't like!

Been at probably 15 premier league games, always rock up 1 hour early to catch the warm up! Interesting too see how the warm up differ from the nationality of the keepers
This is cool, I’ve noticed this as well. I find the German keepers warm up always the most interesting - very technical and formal. I saw Italy - Germany in 2016 and the contrast between Buffon and neuer was insane. Both legendary keepers but buffons warm up looked so sloppy compared to Neuers warm up.
His warmup is my training session
lmao
🤣🤣🤣
His technique is so much different from what we use here in Brazil but at the same time his athleticism is something really impressive
2:56 if you look closely, there's is a little child throwing up
hahaha holy crap. Just noticed that
Pro GK Academy Nice video btw
Pro GK Academy love youre channel
Pro GK Academy it really helps me wieg goalkeeping
Tygo Steenvoorden bruh i cant see it
He is simply the 🐐
Watching neuer get scored on and make mistakes really makes me feel better. Sometimes these guys seem perfect when in reality they fuck up too
Best keeper coach / reporter😂 ever
I have never seen any keeper wet the surface before shots. Interesting.
Sure it's to make a softer landing surface for him.
@@everymandan4176 it is for simulate slippery surface for the ball and for the jumping as well.
When you look closer to the first extension with roll out and 1v1, you'll see that Neuer in the air is when the shot is fired. I think that's why he didn't managed to save some of the shots.
If I had to build a championship team he would be my keeper!
great video, Omar I like this idea of showcasing the warm-ups of top-class keepers showing the different types of service from also top class coaches!!!!!
00:34 his warmup syncs with the music beat for a few seconds, making it into a really odd dance 😆
Thanks for the video, it's always interesting to see how different teams warm up, and what kinds of drills I can use for my warmups.
Best goalkeeper
Very useful for understanding how to warm up
Great job.
Waiting for a video on Buffon.
Unreal content
Thanks for this vid, bro. Hope you can make one for oblak as well
Julian Senfter absolutely
Could you do more of these
Great video Omar. We’ll take you to a Spurs game next season to watch Lloris warm up 👍🏻
Thats what a kid says to a old man
GRANDE MI PORTERO!
7:28 why is courtois there?
nice 😍😍
Brasil é fã de nuer
Didn't seem like too much stretching activation, only a few exercises. Were those the only ones?
Hey Nathan,
There was more, but I cut it out to get to the full session.
Will leave those in next time around!
Do you know the reason why he did wet the surface?
you're welcome
Can someone pls explain why pro gk use wide stance instead of narrow
What's wetting the surface for?
Eugene dry grass makes ur jersey stick like Velcro. U don’t go anywhere when u dive. It’s irritating to play on so that’s why he wet it.
@@Jewish.Hotdog Is that only so for grass? How about artificial turf?
To reduce friction and make it slippery
*6:04** why wetting surface?*
He's massive tho
What’s The Purpose Of Him Wetting The Surface Before The Shots From The 18.
Most probably grip. Id assume partial moisture adds adhesion between the grass the his cleats. Even the ball probably, might slow it down a bit.
@@adonistuman6732 the grip is a fair point, but the ball is faster on wet surface, because of less friction.
Why did he spilled water at 6:10?
Wanted Getorade instead of tap water. Seriously, to simulate wet conditions. Ball accelerates rapidly on wet grass.
Why Did he wet it?
Guessing for the added skip effect!
Prob something about preference maybe ehen you dive on wet grass it dosnt hurt as much
Cuz he neuer and he can do whatever the fuck he wants
I think because you're just "sliding" better when you're diving low. If the ground is dry, the ground breaks you when diving low. (Don't know how to say it else since I'm German :D )
Why does it feel like he does he does his warm so non sholont. Or is that just me?
I think beqeuse hes not playing a match he needs to calm down before the match
