TC question from a newbie ..... can you set your trailing stop loss when your buying the stock? or do you have to buy then go to the sell tab to set the trailing stop?
You can only set a stop, not a trailing stop when initiating a buy unfortunately. So you would have to set the trailing stop after

No.
Many thanks. They need to fix this so something (an icon) appears on screen showing the position of the trailing stop. That would make me feel much more secure. Also, it would be useful if you could set that up as parameter, ie, when I buy or sell that order automatically has my trailing stop attached. Right now you have to make your trade, then set a trailing stop. For fast scalping a one hit button would be great.
My question is Can you combine a regular stop loss with a trailing stop loss OR after executing a combo limit-stop loss order can I enter a trailing stop loss?

Trailing stop loss to ride the trend until the trend cracks and a stop loss would be if a key area of support breaks that you wanted to see hold up. Trailing I would say is best to help cure FOMO so you don't feel like you sold too early and a regular stop is more so there to limit downside risk

So if I set a trailing stop limit order and the price dips to whatever percentage i set it to, then will it sell in the same way as setting a limit order and it sells automatically at that fixed price? or is it more like a market sell order and once it dips below my trailing stop it sells at whatever price is similar and not at the exact price ?
Once the stop is triggered it will execute a market order to get you out

This didn’t work for me!! I bought Qualcomm this morning at the bottom it went up like 22%. Then I checked it 15min ago and it was down well over 10% and it didn’t trigger my 5% trailing stop. So this doesn’t always work like it says! Just a heads up. I had to manually sell it off cause it’s continuing to drop.

Does it stop it on the 1 minute candle or how about if I'm looking at the 5-minute candle where does it calculate the highest point
From the point it is entered it takes the highest point from there to calculate the stop loss. Candles don't necessarily matter, just the highest price after the order is placed. If that keeps going higher the stop will move higher as well.

No idea what they pay now as I don't make money from them anymore, but at one point years back I know they paid $25-$30 in free stocks for referred users who deposit $100 with them. Never was the reason I made the videos in the first place but I am not going to tell you they never paid me for referrals.
