Thanks for the tip of installing a 12 V power source while disconnecting the terminals on my Lexus ES350 ! I used my NOCO portable power pack and nothing was lost !
Hi - Thanks for watching! Some vehicles do require battery registration with the vehicle’s battery management system after a battery replacement. We suggest that you check the vehicle owner’s manual to see if your particular vehicle requires battery registration. You may also like to check out our videos on battery registration. Hi - Thanks for watching! Because only replacing the battery featured in the video, we recommend that you check the vehicle owner's manual and/or a service repair manual for the vehicle for any other battery the vehicle may have.
It would have been wise to mention that the connected 12 volt supply should NOT be interrupted accidentally while installing the new battery until the new battery is fully connected to the plus and minus posts on the new battery , as the memory stored will be lost.
Hi - Thanks for watching! Depending on the vehicle anything from radio stations to computer and GPS memory resets to a no-start condition. We suggest that you refer to a service/repair manual for the specific vehicle in question.
DO NOT skip the first step. I did when I replaced my battery last time, and it reset my entire computer system. My car wouldn't even stay running for a few days.
You can buy a "memory saver" that plugs into the OBD port for $15.00. But then you need a 12 volt power supply to attach to the memory saver. So now you need to spend another $100. for a 12v car battery to supply your memory saver for say one hour. Then you get to store the extra car battery for the next 10 years and keep charging it and refilling the water. How stupid is this? Or you can buy a $150 lithium battery charger in case your car battery craps out and have it on hand for the one time you need it for your memory saver. How crazy is this?
Hi - Thanks for watching! We suggest that you check with the vehicle's owner's manual for the correct battery size and type for each particular vehicle.
Chevrolet SUCKS they could only wish to build a better automobile than Lexus/Toyota. That will never happen. Keep your hunk of junk...lol. You couldn't afford it that's why you purchase thrifty cars like Chevrolet...lol.

Hi - Thanks for watching! Distilled water can be added to batteries with removable cell caps.
Good job. But you don't tell the size of the battery

Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion!
Eh.. Chevrolet also uses battery, and you still will have to replace the battery at some point of your car ownership.
