If you collect $2 (or any currency), you know the 1-70 grading system and how you can collect serial number series and blocks. If not, you'll learn something about numismatics in this video from the makers of The Two Dollar Bill Documentary. Shot at the FUN Convention in Orlando and the Memphis Paper Money show, follow collector Ollis Hull as he explains his $2 bill collecting strategy.

I have a 1928 G series, star note, 2 dollar bill. I have checked a couple places on-line and most agree it to be worth about $30.00. Is that within the ballpark, Interested in a picture or two?

I have two 2 dollar bills star notes 1976 in sequential order and starting serial numbers with triple zeros and ending 548/549 in uncirculated condition. Does a sequential order bring more money? Thanks
Sequential serial numbers usually mean nothing, because you can go to the bank and get a strap of new bills and have 100 serial numbers in a row. But consecutive star notes from 1976 may be of interest to a currency dealer. I would call your local coin/currency dealer (or anyone nationally, for that matter) and get their opinion. I don't price bills - I make videos about them.

i recently acquired a stack of 2 dollar bills 25 bills in sequential order i really love them all in uncirculated condition hope it will be worth alot more in 10-20 years im 57 and got started collecting bills last year im from Canada
The natural value will not increase, but in 10-20 years you can find someone on eBay who might pay a little more for uncirculated sequential bills. Heck, some people pay extra for that now.

I have 100 $2 Bills, all mint condition, no folds, and all are from 20s or 30s and they have sequential serial numbers. Are they just worth face value ?
There are no $2 bills from the 30s. If you have some from the 20s, it would only be a series 1928 bill. If that's what you have, then mint condition bills would be worth a nice amount of money. But you'd have to talk to a currency expert in your area. I make videos about the $2 bill - I don't assess values for people.
If I had the first $2 bill ever printed, can I still spend it as legal tender anywhere I want in the United States?
Good question. Presumably yes, since it is legal tender. But you'd be throwing lots and lots of money away if you did so, since it's worth a great deal of money.

Is that a copy of a known painting of the signing of the declaration on the back? What were past images on the back?
Love the second half of your comment... I'd love to do a video on some of the really cool backs on $2 bills. But so I can use the question as a graphic on the video, can you send it again only asking that question? As for the first half, it's not the signing of the Declaration but the presentation of it to the Continental Congress for approval. It's based on one version of John Trumbull's famous painting.

Red seal bill,s dated 1928, 1953 or 1963 are worth a little more than face value, depending on their condition. You should try to find a local coin & currency dealer to show your collection to. They'll tell you what each one is worth (and maybe they'll buy them)

Hello what's your take on sequential Star notes? I have about 13 of them($10 bills) brand new 2017a, I haven't checked the sheet print or the Run on them yet.
Star notes in general have additional value. Then consecutive ones should hike up the price a little more. The key is to find the right buyer! You could hand those to a cashier and they'd be clueless. But find someone looking for star notes and the consecutive serials will have them salivating for them even more.
I sure would love a Battle ship 2 .there just so expensive.so far I have the large not red seal eye. Small note red seals and small note green seals. But a blue seal is my dream.the 2 is definitely my favorite note of all time.

I have 100 2$ bill UC *notes 2013 in sequential order,I don't know what they are worth or where to sell them.
They're worth $200! But some sucker on eBay (who doesn't realize you can get sequential serial-number, crisp straps from most banks) will pay a markup for them. Look at similar auctions and sell yours there if you want more than face value.
