MTV: The worlds of fashion and music came together again for House of Style’s Second Annual Fashionably Loud. Models sashayed down the runway to showcase Spring ’97 collections by four hot designers to the live sounds of 3 of Britain’s most buzzing acts.
MTV NEWS: Finally, rock takes over the fashion runway this Monday night, on MTV’s second annual “Fashionably Loud” blowout. Making the music this time around are Prodigy, Tricky, and Republica.
KEITH FLINT: Prodigy music is buzz music you know, it stirs you up. If a model’s out there and she’s wearing something with a bit of guts behind it, if she’s walking out there to something that’s really tough, it probably gives her a nice strong attitude, that’s what the music’s about.

They were the techno sex pistols so doing a show with Vivienne Westwood made perfect sense. I was there it was amazing energy

I remember the day this aired.
I recorded this and Republica's set and watched it a zillion times. Both bands killed it on this. I still have the videotape.
This was such an unusual move for The Prodigy but they absolutely smashed it. Some very nervous looking models there haha

I still this version of this jam with all of the quirky ad libs in my head whenever I hear the original. When this dropped, I was already into The Prodigy but for a kid in the states, there wasn't much to work with. That was until this performance. I can still remember how hype I was for this and how loud I played this on my TV. My father walked into the room with a surprised eye and fell in love with their sound and this performance. Still til this day he brings this live performance up. What I would do to be a kid and see shit like this for the first time again 😍😍😍 MTV was my church during certain hours 120 Minutes. Headbangers ball, and Amp'd are greatly missed
