Gruntruck's "Push" album rocks and this song kicks it off. This is one of my favourite metal songs from the 1990's. Thanks for posting this rare footage.
I went and seen these guys back in like 94 or something, just for something to do and after seeing them realized they were a great band! Awesome music!
I saw these guys play at The Trestle in Everett Washington in 1993. Kick-Ass show I'll remember it till I die. Does anybody else remember that remember them playing there?
I saw Gruntruck at The Offramp in Seattle in October 1993. I had turned 21 and moved to Seattle the week before. The Offramp is now El Corizon.. I saw several of the Pain in the Grass shows in 94-95, most notable Krist Novoselic's band "Sweet 75". I have pics somewhere I'll have to find.
it was Z-Rock AM 1590 - they did these free local shows all summer. Gruntruck opened part of Panteras world tour - I picked Tommy and Ben up at the airport when they came back - they said they couldnt keep up with those guys. Gruntruck was great -- RIP Ben.
Unfortunately, I never saw Gruntruck live. I did, however, see Mona Diesel (Ben's later band) cover this song on the exact same spot about 10 years later. I was only 9 or 10 when Tribe was first released, but Gruntruck really spoke to me in my teens and early 20's. I still associate it with a lot of good times and good friends.
Mural Amphitheater. Seattle Center. I was there! I think it was for KISW pain in the grass? Also saw them at The Moore and a few other places. They kicked arse!!
I was there too, some dude tweaked hardcore on acid and they had to call the fire department(that didn't help him, in fact it really f**ked with his trip!!! haha), Those old (FREE) pain in the grass shows where fun.
The Great OTHER Grunge band that just never could make it.... I really think they could have been HUGELY successful.... I met Ben once after a show at the Sit n Spin.... R.I.P
I saw these guys play at Tad's record release party like 91 or 92 at the...shit I can't remember the venue. pretty damn kickass energy. a lot more than this video, haha
" there was this time when i kept running into Ben and he was actually wondering if i was following him but that was not the case. he and Tommy and this other guy were so red eyed when i saw them at this corner store in Capitol Hill area...I got to talk with them about The Accused and saw Tommy Play with Rorshach Test from Colorado..."
mainstream music used to rule back then, now its all about the whiney emo and pop punk and worse these days, it sux, ppl need to pick up the guitars and rock like this again!
I was there. This was one of their best shows ever...and it was FREE!
After all these years this song remains one of my best ever... Gruntruck great band !!
