    danke für den Einblick in diesen Test. We should not forget that you are pro who is swimming since many years so for beginners do not get discouraged when you see that for him swimming a 400m with 1:40/100m is very easy !

    Vielen Dank für deine Videos! Du gibst dir richtig Mühe, weiter so! Bin in 6 Wochen auch in Girona und speichere schon fleißig deine Radtouren. Das Schwimmbad "Piscina Girona" habe ich auch schon gefunden. Ein Video über Girona an sich für Triathleten/Rennradfahrer wäre stark. Insider Tipps, Radläden, Szene Treffs usw. Klassiker Strecken, die man fahren muss, alles, was dir einfällt. Das wäre legendär ;-)

      Ist kein konkretes Video in die Richtung geplant, da es hier so viel verschiedenes für alles und jeden gibt, das würde den Rahmen sprengen, aber ich kann es mal in den nächsten Videos mal ansprechen

    This was very interesting. I am curious that you are looking at doing the test only once a year. WIth additional training and racing during the season would the production of lactate drop? Once a year seems a limited data collection point. But then again I don't know if I want to get stabbed in the earlobe very much either. 😉

      I’m still taking lactate during a lot of sessions throughout the year which are repeating so never stop collecting data and with race season such test actually barely fits into the schedule

    Hi, cooles Video. 3 loseGedanken dazu:
    1. Ein bisschen mehr Schwimm(style) Footage wäre cool gewesen. (Schwer zu filmen, ich weiß).
    2. Wäre es nicht effizienter, das Gel nach Runde 2 zu nehmen? Weil es dauert ja nochmal ca 30min (?)bis es wirkt. Dann hättest du für 4+5 die Extra Carbs und nicht erst beim Cool-Down.
    3. Du siehst aus wie der nette Bruder von Gzuz :-)

      Beim nächsten Video gibt es wieder doppelt so viel Action 😉
      PowerBar arbeitet mit einer speziellen Formel C2max, bei der das Gel auch schon sofort wirkt, wenn man es einnimmt. Außerdem hatte ich ja noch Iso in der Flasche, wovon ich auch schon davor die ganze Zeit getrunken habe.

    Really good video. Thx for posting. My 2 cents - you are stating your LT1. If u think 2.8 mmol is lt1 and your max hr is 167 which is about 87% of your max (197) it’s too hard. I would bring down your LT 1 closer to 2 mmol and closer to 70% of your max.

      You are right but my max heart rate is about 205. Because I was going tired into that last 400 I couldn’t reach my maximum heart rate that way

      I estimated my LT1 anyway for a slower pace than that 4:53 and 2.8 mmol/l. Would say like 1:15-1:14/100m and hr 160-165

      @@FredericFunk97 I agree cool video and nice to share data. but 1:14/100m for LT1 at 2.8 mmol lactate seems too high when your LT2 is 1:11-12 at 4.5mmol. it cant be that close. also the interval duration was less than 5mins so the lactate hasnt even stablisied yet, which takes atleast 6-8mins. so if you swam at your "LT1" of 1:14 i doubt you could keep that up for over 20mins without your lactate being over 4mmol or much higher than LT1 anyway.

      @@jamesd5241 Okay, thanks for sharing. Always learning, I’m not a scientist myself :) Most times Intervall distances aren’t longer than 400m anyways but if it’s more or lots of intervalls with very short rest I’ll keep in mind to swim a bit slower than that, also then keen to find where my LT1 is exactly then so will measure next time I’ll have a long ‘LT1’ set

    Have you compared the heart rate of a watch to your thingy… so is the watch as reliable?

      You mean heartrate measurement on the wrist? Definitely not as reliable especially not in the water

      Yes sure but would be too hard to build 5x 800m into all the training. Would take some time to recover from that. It was working quite well with the 400s because now I could validate the points with some longer harder sessions at the specific paces
