Man I got a tell ya, this demo pretty much puts the icing on the cake! Time to start saving pennies! From lower gain to hard rock, I can’t imagine a better tone. That’s like... perfect!
Thanks for just showing use the different sounds this thing makes, and not wasting time with talk. We guitar players just want to hear what it sounds like. Great demos.
I play Marshall and Engl, lusted after a Soldano SP-77 which I couldn’t afford when I was 18. pretty much forgot about it and now, I bought an AMT S-Drive on an impulse and this pedal together worth my Torpedo Cab is incredible. Now I want the real thing and can afford it. I try to save space so this is the unit to get, I think. This is the sound I want.
I think this is the closest Mike has gotten to his original Soldano SLO sound. The Soldano pedal and Soldano mini he came up with are both good, but the Synergy SLO module sounds closer than both of them to me.
Great Module but i'm so into the Deliverance I have a hard time appreciating this one as much as it deserves. I can't see a way of going wrong with this entire Synergy System
Hi,Shawn. Great vids n playing,as usual👍 I was wondering if you found the higher gain settings and/or modules, a bit noisy..?(like a low hum..) I ask because I recently acquired the Powerball module and altho there's not a noise issue on the blue ch, the red ch is maybe in the 'might have to gate' territory..(I have no power routing, cable or tube issues.) Also, when and how do you use the Synergy setup, as opposed to your Bella or Rev?
for the price these seem to be the ultimate drive pedal...so to speak , but with fx loops = awesome. lots of great options including midi to control each module.
I just got my SYN-2 and SLO module in the studio. It sounds incredible (running through a Two Notes Torpedo Live). That said, I've been noticing that mine seems to distort a LOT quicker. I have the gain on the SLO at about 9 o'clock, and I can chug on it pretty easily. Maybe it's just my pickups (DiMarzio D-Activators - pretty hot)? It sounds thick and creamy, but I'm having a hard time getting some of the mid gain tones you were getting here. **shrug** Probably gonna check out the Morgan AC for a dedicated chime/low-to-mid gain module, though. Love your videos, Shawn!
@@ShawnTubbs Sooooo, it turns out it was the Power Amp emulation in my Two Notes Torpedo - had it cranked by accident. Rookie mistake. Now it's cleaning up much nicer (still high gain, but much more manageable). :)
Shawn Tubbs- since you’ve been through the paces w/ all of these modules, which would you choose between the Metroplex and the SLO? Also, out of all of them which is your favorite so far? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I would lean towards the Metroplex, not because it's better than the SLO, it's just more my style. One of my favorite modules is the 800. They all sound great!
I'm running these into the Syn 5050. It's a 6l6 based amp so it would be a very similar tone plugged into the 6l6 power section of the Bella. Thanks for watching!
It looks like you played it straight. The G at 2:30 had the same artifact, to a lesser degree. Sounds like clashing overtones. It could be a room mode. If you didn't hear it when you were playing it, then all is well with the world. Killer playing, Shawn. I subbed.
Hey John thanks for watching. All of these "Quick Listen" Synergy module demos are done into the Synergy Syn 5050 Power Am into a mic'd cab. If you would like to hear an example of the XLR with cab simulator hit this link. ruclips.net/video/zWLoU8sXzMk/видео.html The DI sounds start at about 14:30 and I believe the SLO is one of the modules.
Best sounding demos out there, both tone and playing are stellar, keep it up.
You're very kind. Thank you and thanks for tuning in.

Right on man! Thanks for tuning in!

This is just awesomeness all the way around... the playing, your style, and the amp. Now I want that amp and you play the way I wish I could play.
Shawn, do you teach?
Cant wait to hear ENGL and FRYETTE

Those Strat tones are crazy good with this module. Well played!
Thanks Todd!

It’s probably the original preamp circuit. That’s what most Synergy partners do, just use the original design with the modular connections.
So many great choices with this system. I like this one and the Bassman a lot, but they all sound fantastic.
They're all great. I'm a fan of the Bassman for the tweed stuff for sure. The TDLX is killer too if you want more of a that vibe. Thanks for watching!
That Tele sounds AWESOME! Love it... I saw it in a few other videos and always takes my attention.
Thanks so much. I'm really happy with that Suhr Tele.
Great Module but i'm so into the Deliverance I have a hard time appreciating this one as much as it deserves. I can't see a way of going wrong with this entire Synergy System
It's truly a great platform! Thanks so much for watching and for the comment!
Oh this sounds fantastic!! Always wanted to try one since I saw Clapton with one in the 90s..
Right on Dan! Synergy and Mike Soldano pretty much nailed it. I played a few SLO's myself back in the day!

Love the PRS with this module...both channels!
The most favorite high-gain tone for me.
I wanna say this module RULES now but Shawn, you could make a solid state 80’s Crate amp sound good …😂 so 🧐.
🙌🏻🔥
I'm hearing this Andy Timmons vibe going on. Straight digging this demo.
Thanks Connor!
It sounds extremely good.

The pickups you have in your guitar could possibly be a bit hotter. I think D-Activators are at about 11k and up. My pickups are around 7-8k.

Are these demos with a power amp or speaker Sim ?
Is there any difference between channels gain wise and in tone ?
Shawn are these demos direct from the cab sim out or through the syn 5050?
Thanks for the question. These are all done with the Syn 5050.
Great sounds! Is the Suhr T you're playing a Classic Antique Pro, stock pickups?
Thanks Kim! That tele is a classic antique pro with the classic tele pickups.

WOW, I THINK I LIKE THIS MODULE THE BEST SO FAR. ARE YOU STILL RUNNING THROUGH LOOP OF BELLA?
I'm running these into the Syn 5050. It's a 6l6 based amp so it would be a very similar tone plugged into the 6l6 power section of the Bella. Thanks for watching!
2:110 Whats that weird ringing?
Hey Russ, not sure what you mean by "weird ringing" at the 2:11 mark but I sure did monkey paw that G chord! ;) Thanks for watching!
It looks like you played it straight. The G at 2:30 had the same artifact, to a lesser degree. Sounds like clashing overtones. It could be a room mode. If you didn't hear it when you were playing it, then all is well with the world. Killer playing, Shawn. I subbed.
Thanks for subscribing Russ!
How was this recorded ? Was the speaker sim out used ?
Thanks for watching! Syn 1 SLO > Syn 50/50 power amp> Bogner 2x12 closed back cab. Royer 121/Shure 57 mic combo.
I’d really love to hear a recorded sample from the cab sim output.....any idea if there is one ?

Does the syn1 come with a module, or do you have to buy a module separately?
Modules are sold separately.
How does the speaker sim sound? This tone kills
It sounds really good. Maybe a little darker.
Do they do a Boogie one by any chance?
Not so far but I've heard there will be more designers coming on board.
OMG you have the OX!!!!!
;) Hope to demo it at some point.
direct in?

Shawn, have you ever made a bad demo? doubt it
